Nude scene delayed Microsoft’s HALO 2
Microsoft on Friday revealed that it has delayed release of Halo 2 for Vista in the U.S. due to the appearance of partial nudity in some of the game’s content. Just two days back, the software giant had reported that the highly anticipated title, Halo 2 for Windows Vista would be delayed until May 31st, the second delay for the title in only one month. Microsoft initially was silent about the reasons behind the second delay, but a Microsoft spokesperson yesterday revealed that brief glimpse of partial nudity is the reason behind this latest delay, as the company scatters to make sure that the correct ESRB label is affixed to the game.
Redmond giant has already released an optional patch to remove the problematic content. Originally scheduled to release on Tuesday, May 22, the eagerly awaited Halo 2 for Windows Vista has been delayed to the 31st so retailers can slap stickers on already-in-hand copies. The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) also issued a statement, saying Microsoft has notified ESRB about pertinent content found in a map editor tool that is being bundled with the game. The content in question displays a picture of a game character showing his bare backside to the user when a particular error occurs, and thus warrants a ‘Partial Nudity’ content descriptor in order to alert consumers to its presence in the product, ESRB said. It’s funny how these guys from MS describes the nude element as something accidental, while I’m pretty sure it was the intention of developers. It’s little weird when everyone can play games like GTA which contain way more nude scenes…

GTA didn’t go for a “Everyone” ESRB rating. MS wants to sell H2 everywhere there’s a cash register, so they cozy up nice to the ratings groups. Most humorous thing about this to me is watching a billion dollar company dance around with bureaucracies “to save the children”.

Is an arse all the problem was? Was it a big problem or an ample one? Who hasn’t got an arse. Isn’t it just a bit sad . Maybe there should be age restriction on a mirror. Maybe a 15 for the back, 18 for the front and a PG for anything above the neck or 18 if your ugly. You should really play GTA before you use it as an example. San andreas had a nude scene you could hack into, which was removed from later versions.
Same type of scenario tho, you have to basically know about it and actively go looking for it to make it happen.

Halo 2 Vista has been available from Demonoid for the last 6 days or so with over 300 seeder and 2000 peers! Unfortunetly, there is no crack or keygen yet but the entire campaign is playable by exploiting a loophole.
