Someone was asking for this in my last documentary post, so here it is. Airing five times a year, “NOVA scienceNOW” covers the latest news in the most controversial and headline-making fields of science such as the origins of life, artificial life, hurricane tracking, hydrogen fuel cells, and stem cell research. New season premiere is here from FQM.

EP 4.1 Artificial Diamonds and Anthrax Attacks

Season 4 begins with a look at the newest in artificial diamonds which are so brilliant that even indistinguishable from the real things. Next is an examination of how the 9/11 anthrax was sourced. Then, experience the Auto-Tune pitch-correction software. Plus, a profile of Luis von Ahn (Carnegie Mellon) a computer scientist who trains computers with the use of games and developed ReCHAPTCHA which deciphers unrecognized words in digitalized books.
