Nostradamus 2012 2009 DVDRip XviD-FiCO

FiCO have released a interesting sounding History Channel documentary that focuses on Nostradamus and his predictions about 2012.

It’s a year that many have prophesied will bring a catastrophic end to life as we know it. Whatever is in store – a massive cosmic collision, a global environmental disaster, an Armageddon-like religious showdown, or a more subtle transformation – many believe that 2012 will mark a major shift in the history of our planet. But what is there to substantiate such fears?

A detailed, historical investigation of this chilling prophecy is the mission of Nostradamus 2012, an exciting history special that casts the doomsday warning in a frighteningly modern context. December 21, 2012 is bearing down on us with alarming speed. Whether or not we are able to collectively heed the warnings and affect a course to avert disaster may be the defining moment of the modern age.

    @Sou4ljAH
    It is the Mayans, not Indians.

    Mayans observed the stars and stuff in the reflection of water, unlike their contemporary scientists/mathematicians/philosophers did.

    Mayans are wrong.

    As usual, most people are missing the point.

    It's irrelevant whether you believe in Nostradamus' prophecies(or anyone else, including the Maya or whatever), or any of the menagerie of crazy/spiritual/pseudo-scientific theorists out there who are trying to say this or that to sell books and generally scare people.

    A message is being sent.

    Some people will hear that message in the form of silly documentaries such as this, or conspiracy theory websites..etc.

    The rest of you, especially the ones who are saying "oh this is all BS, you're all stupid" etc – just turn on the news and see your own version of the message right there. The world is slowly but surely being raped, and in a time when supposedly our technology and insight is at it's peak, we are still killing each other over disputes about religion, land and natural resources..

    So the point is…wake up, look at the world around you with opened eyes and mind, and try to do something about it, before it's too late.

    I do know every 12 years, the sun gives off a burst of energy whatever you call it, it suppose to kill off all the electric made products or power that we use. Last 12 years was a weak one(melted a few wires or such they said), this 2012 suppose to be a uber strong one so I don't know, or care.

    We'll kill ourselves eventually. Like that anti or whatever matter machine that their spending like 100s of billions $ to make, for example.

    'I do know every 12 years, the sun gives off a burst of energy whatever you call it'

    There is no 12-year sunspot cycle, which really kills the idea that you know anything at all. Speaking of killing:

    'We'll kill ourselves eventually.'

    Let's hope you get around to it sooner than later, as in today seems like a good day…woof

    Hey maybe it will take them that long to get CERN fired up and bang – we all get sucked into a black hole – or maybe nothing at all will happen.
    If I was a betting man my money would be on nothing

    think of this if they did delay CERN until 2012 would you be happy if they decided to fire it up on the 21 of dec

    if you don't know what CERN is google it

    @103, "global environmental disaster,"
    yes, that's more likely… do you see what's happening to the world's nature lately ? and the worst part is… "WE are the ones doing harm to the planet's nature".

    Do you even have any brain cells @103?? Vulcanologists freely admit that just one eruption of a volcano emits more "gw gasses" in one burp then mankind has done the entire time we have been on this planet, and that over 200 eruptions go off every DAY! So you are trying to get us to believe that one small flea (mankind) that has only been on the dog (earth) for less then 10 sec (earths age time) is going to kill the dog (earth)?! Are you THAT frickin stupid?

    Hey @128 Deltadumb, maybe you should rename yourself deltadumba$$ because there IS A SUNSPOT CYCLE http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/SunspotCycle.shtml Next time let your brain kick into gear well before your mouth and not after!

    @131, CERN has already been set up and fired once and it made the magnets go wonky. They replaced the final magnet on April 30th 2009 and are ready to fire it up AGAIN for the 2nd time. http://public.web.cern.ch/public/

    Jeeze louise, you people spouting off about science really need a frickin reality check and a major refresher in science as the last time I have seen idiotic answers like this was on a third grade science test and even THEY scored higher then the mental rate of the majority fo the posters here spouting science none sense trying to make themselves look intelligent. Stupid n00bs!

    Yeah, common jerka$$, I never said that there wasn't a sunspot cycle now did I? I said, if you can read through your a$$hole, 'There is no 12-year sunspot cycle', which is correct.

    From your own link:

    'the number of sunspots visible on the sun waxes and wanes with an approximate 11-year cycle.'

    11 is the average, not 12, it has never been 12 since scientists first began recording the activity, Einstein. This is well known and documented.

    I began studying meteorology and atmospheric science in the early 80s (you?), so I'm well aware of the cycle lengths and their common effects on Earth. You obviously either need to make yourself feel important and beg for attention, even if there's nothing to argue, because you have no identity in the real world, or you are extremely ignorant and lack properly developed social skills. There are no other options.

    Punk a$$ loser, can't read a name right, wannabe-know-it-all with nothing to say but useless inflammatory garbage, pos. Take your childish behavior back to the basement and beat your dog and your d!ck again.

    @135

    For such an intelligent person I find it entertaining that you don't see your own defensive tactics to ironically convince your 'friend' there into thinking he is the ambiguously facetious 'big man'.

    If you don't see the irony, I'm so sorry.

    On to 2012:

    People are naturally defensive of that which they don't understand. It's a great psychological trait that you should be proud of.
    Some pass it of as a humorous attempt to convince them of something bad happening when they know(think) nothing will happen(which it could). It's a shame they know they're scared but can't admit it.
    Some freak out, which is a bigger shame.

    Fear not fear, but your fear of what it could be.

    I personally accept all possibilities and prepare accordingly, if not physically than mentally.

    I hope all those who laugh are at least somewhat prepared?

    I thought the Discovery channel was meant to scientific. No conflicting views, this played like some evangelical cult propaganda horror flick. The rapture is coming guys! These same f..kers predicted the end of the world in 2000, 2001 too, and sold thousands of books. No one believe these cranks back in the olden times and here we are repeating their bs.

    LOL at all the people that think the environment is changing so drastically because of natural changes.

    You people must realize that humans (all over the world) have the technology to manipulate the weather on the global scale by shooting radio waves into the atmosphere, and changing the planet's jet streams. The USA uses this technology to block hurricanes from coming inland in the USA. This is nothing new, remember the major droughts in California during the 80s, those event directly coincided with the Soviet radio transmissions detected by the rest of the world. When the Soviets stopped the radio wave transmission the droughts ended. Very well documented case.

    The new world of warfare is weather. Simple as that.
