Non-scene group: how to distribute releases?

I receive many mails every single day. Most of them are tips from RLSLOG readers about interesting releases or pieces of news. Some of them are not so nice mails from antipiracy organizations. And from time to time, I receive a mail from a scene group regarding certain issue. This one was different – the author of it doesn’t belong to the scene yet, but has intentions to do basically the same thing as sceners do: release movies which noone else released. Here’s an excerpt from the email.

(…) A new group (but not a scene group… yet, anyway) whose goal
is to popularize Japanese cinema.

As a new group with no scene access or contacts, we are having a
very hard time figuring out an anonymous but still efficient and
high speed way to distribute releases.

Tor or other forms of anonymization will greatly slow down
torrents, and we really don’t want to do something that will expose
our IP or even our general location.

We were hoping that if we’d email you guys, you may be able to
suggest something that will ease distribution, or maybe even
provide a helping hand until we have the resources to efficiently
distribute on our own.  (…)

I politely replied as I do with almost every mail and suggested certain ways or methods which could be used to ditribute the content without exposing the IP addresses of seeders / creators. However, I’m pretty sure you will have many other ideas and insights into this problem so I would be happy if you could express your opinion in comments below. It might help other individuals who would like to follow this group in a similar manner.

The best and easiest way to upload is through a seed box, you don’t even have to pay for it steel some CC information(for the noobs a CC is a credit card) you’ll find plenty of stupid guys especially in USA, who can be easily tricked, it’s like stealing some cookies from some 2 years old kid). Btw don’t use proxies they DON’R really work, use some socks 5 so you will be untraceble.HAPPY HACKING TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

I dont know if Martin changed the email sent to him but the English and the style of writing is way too grammatically and literally correct to be an email form a group trying to get into the scene. I mean – proper nouns are capitalised, punctuation marks are perfect, spellings used are of those as in American English. Not a single mistake to be honest. Looks more like something written by a Lawyer.

It does sound like a dodgy email. My thoughts anyways…

“A new group (but not a scene group… yet, anyway) whose goal is to popularize Japanese cinema.”

The scene has a totally different intention than this guy.
    He should ask Godzilla.

“Newsservers still log your IP. Unless you can access it via a proxy or have a reliable method of forging your IP, that won’t work.”

I’m pretty sure you can upload anonymously with SOME news servers, otherwise how would anything get posted?

Use a proxy server for anonymity also P2P will healp with regards to getting the wait off you load or just upload with upload hosts (rapidshare, megaupload, fileho etc) or get a FTP server and upload from there, other members of the community will upload your releases and watch your releases spread!

Stupid to write rlslog.net asking for this! If there were interested in info around this they would have searched for it themselfs, clearly a first sign of not being secure enough.

Second sign is you post here, which leads to many other posts and ideas and even some newbies that heard from his old school friend how they do stuff or perhaps some kido that were lucky enough to get an account on some stupid mp3 site spreading out ideas here (BAD!)

I suppose not until you face court and your years in jail you realize that you should have kept your mouth shut.

to hell with mp3’s has nothing to do with the scene, and fu-ck the movies too
