Noise 2007 READNFO LiMiTED DVDRip XviD-DOMiNO

DOMiNO provides us with this releases of “Noise”, and explains in the nfo that there were two movies released with this title in 2007, so that we don’t get mixed up. There aren’t many opinions about this movie to go by, with only 49 votes on IMDB and 6 reviews on RT (all fresh, btw), but the casting is the one thing that’s promising. Tim Robbins (who kind of looks like Garth from Wayne’s World in this picture) and William Hurt are two actors with impressive CV.

Note: Oddly, runtime is 1 hr 49 mins according to RT and is only 1 hr 27 mins in this release.

Synopsis: From the creators of “The Believer,” winner of the 2001 Sundance Grand Jury Prize, comes a black comedy about a man caught in the most impossible of conundrums: in love with his hometown, New York City, but driven mad by its noise. Transforming himself into “The Rectifier,” David takes on everyone from the schmuck who ignores his own car alarm to the city’s most powerful citizen, the Mayor. As his daring grows, New Yorkers rally behind him inspiring David to win this fight by the most ingenious of schemes.

    @ Jack (4)

    I’m speculating that this has something to do with the fact the synopsis is wrong on the RT page. Maybe the runtime info is wrong as well.

    re: Australian movie “Noise” (2007)

    Sundance Grand Jury nominee. Australian crime thriller. A young cop, Graham McGahan, suffers chronic, idiopathic tinnitus. After a mass murder on a suburban train, McGahan is pitched into the chaos that follows this tragic event. He struggles to clear the screaming in his head while the community around him deals with the crime and its aftermath.

  32. Henry Bean
    February 14th, 2008 | 18:09

    Henry Bean, the writer/director of this movie, did also both write the script (based on Mark Jacobson’s authentic book) and direct the very entertaining ‘The Believer (usa2001)’ with Ryan Gosling.

    @19-avanza & #30 Kelmal:

    A 2CD release had been released in around octobre 2007. You find it using its title:

    Noise.2007.DVDRip.XviD-aAF
    2 CD (1,4 GB)
    640×272
    VIDEO BITRATE…: 1424 kbit/s, Xvid
    AUDIO BITRATE: 448 kbps, AC3
    VIdEO: 25.000 fps
    unfortunately NO Subtitles

  35. rufio
    February 14th, 2008 | 21:54

    @34 (Henry Bean)

    Don’t be so ignorant. Read the first sentence of this post:
    “DOMiNO provides us with this releases of “Noise”, and explains in the nfo that there were two movies released with this title in 2007, so that we don’t get mixed up.”

  36. hitfilm

    February 15th, 2008 | 00:43

    @35 rufio:

    Dear rufio, what the fụck is wrong with you?

    Have I done anything wrong?

    Avanza asked (in posting nr.19):

    avanza:
    “does anyone know if there is a release for the Australian movie “Noise” that looks pretty good too….”

    I answer him:

    @19-avanza & #30 Kelmal:
    “A 2CD release had been released in around octobre 2007. You find it using its title:

    Noise.2007.DVDRip.XviD-aAF
    2 CD (1,4 GB)
    640×272
    VIDEO BITRATE…: 1424 kbit/s, Xvid
    AUDIO BITRATE: 448 kbps, AC3
    VIdEO: 25.000 fps
    unfortunately NO Subtitles”

    So yes, Bleez’ first sentence mentions Domino’s nfo, making us aware that two movies with the title ‘Noise’ were released in 2007, to not mix them up with each other.

    Later Azanza asks about this other movie, about the australian one (the Henry Bean/Tim Robbins flic is an US production). I give him specifics of a (technically well done) 2 cd release.

    What have I done wrong? Where am I ignorant here?

    (Sorry for using the f*ck word, but I feel compelled to cirumvent the filtering mechanism)

    The question about subtitles to the movie was posed two times but with no answer. I ask for the last – third time (previous questions weren’t mine) – does anyone know anything about (un)available English subtitles for the movie? Hope, someone ripped them. Thanks for finally getting involved in answering to this important question. :D
