No Country For Old Men READNFO DVDScr XViD-BaLD

Our comments were once again spammed with info about a new release – a dvd screener of No Country For Old Men from group BaLD. By the way, it’s a pretty stupid approach, we will delete those comments anyway as they are offtopic and you risk being banned. Just wait for the post, it will come sooner or later. Anyway, this new dvd screener from p2p source offers a way better quality than the first one from DoNE, contains zero watermarks and the image is much more colourful. As it’s one of the best movies of 2007 according to ratings, I really recommend downloading this release.

The story begins when Llewelyn Moss (Brolin) finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law – in the person of aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell (Jones) – can contain. As Moss tries to evade his pursuers – in particular a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives (Bardem) – the film simultaneously strips down the American crime drama and broadens its concerns to encompass themes as ancient as the Bible and as bloodily contemporary as this morning’s headlines.

I’m either really stupid or blind, but where’s the Hitman R5 that was supposedly released in Russia days ago. Either they can’t find any good audio for it, or the movie sucks so bad they don’t want to bother us with it.

Anywho, does anyone know what’s going on?

I watched this movie about a week ago.
I sincerely believe that when anyone is done watching this movie, they will feel they wasted bandwidth downloading it.

Spoiler Alert – Dont read further unless you hate wasting your time:

The last quarter of the movie appears that they ran out of ideas and the ending, if you can call it that, SUCKS! Tommy Lee Jones literally does nothing major in this whole movie. Don’t get me wrong, there are some good portions, but they all lose their impact with such an empty ending.

I can recommend I Am Legend (could have been better, but Will Smith rocks!), Death Sentence (for revenge movie lovers), or The Game Plan (for the family) as good recent releases.

Take care and Happy New Year to all at Releaselog and its visitors!

Thanks to Tito, as usual. :) Such is my trust in his links I just deleted 170Mb of the torrent downloaded to date. (of course, it was only showing 65% being seeded! :| ).

Very much looking forward to this one… IMDB reviews and rating are out-of-this-world!

At the risk of getting a draconian finger-wagging… I’d like to comment on Martin posting the following:

“By the way, it’s a pretty stupid approach, we will delete those comments anyway as they are offtopic and you risk being banned. Just wait for the post, it will come sooner or later.”

I can understand deleting those comments once you’ve made a post regarding the torrent they are referring to, but threatening banning people seems rather excessive. While I’m sure its annoying working hard for this site, and having posters make remarks that you aren’t keeping up with the scene/p2p, I appreciate posters who give me a heads-up as to what is coming shortly, or that is already available elsewhere. They’ve saved me a lot of bandwidth (ie, not wasting my time downloading an R5 when the DvDRip is hours away). I know you can’t possibly keep up with thousands of torrent-seekers working effectively 24-7, but I certainly wouldn’t threaten punishing them, since they help to keep this site as up-to-date and current as any ‘available to the masses’ website. If they weren’t around, many readers would be looking elsewhere, instead of here and appreciating the paid advertisements around the page too. :)

Nonetheless, my comments here shouldn’t take away from your excellent work and relentless posts. They are very much appreciated. :D

It is time the “scene” gave up the idea of releasing movies based upon the extremely dated idea that they should fit on CDs.

Glad to see this movie was released as 2 CDs though because the compression on a single CD is not good enough…too many artifacts.

    @22-WOW!

  71. oblodo
    January 2nd, 2008 | 23:43

First its one avi file, others have split it for the 2 cd ppl.. and NO virus.. just a self extracting file for ppl that have no winrar. Just like winzip also do. you must have downloaded tons of files like like that. But i promise you, nzbmatrix.com, one of the largest nzb sites would have removed it if it had any vira or other malware. I was also a bit, you know, hey wtf is this, but its ok, and bo problem at all. Avast, Norman and Trend had no problem with it… but do what you like. I loved the film, and so did the wife. Fargo is still my favorite but this came close to being almost as good.

    @ Aaron
Read carefully what Martin has written in the first paragraph –
“Our comments were once again spammed with info about a new release – a dvd screener of No Country For Old Men from group BaLD. By the way, it’s a pretty stupid approach, we will delete those comments anyway as they are offtopic and you risk being banned. Just wait for the post, it will come sooner or later”.
My advice – no pre-info about new releases; you risk ban.
By the way, posting RS links for new DVDScr release in the comments section for the same movie can’t be cosidered as spam and they are not offtopic.

    @26 ufo1947

I saw it in theater. The anticlimactic ending was a huge disappointment. There were audible groans and protests from some in the audience. But I also watched it at home and enjoyed it much more – mainly because I paid closer attention to the dialog and so the non-ending made more sense. Anyway, I have to disagree that downloading it is a waste of bandwidth; just don’t expect Fargo or even Blood Simple.

that is why i did not list it in my top 10 of 2007.

the end has however left it open for a second movie, maybe???? sheriff comes out of retirement and tracks down killer??…..could be good :)

    @ 49 – Bob

Thanks for the heads up about the Hitman R5. For some reason, people were posting that it was going to be out shortly after Christmas. We really need an official R5 calendar up here on RLSlog. That would be sweet, and would save alot of time translating Russian pages to figure out dates (which are sometimes not accurate).

“The last quarter of the movie appears that they ran out of ideas and the ending”

It’s an exact screenplay from a novel written by a Pulitzer prize winner, you idiot. The movie will be leading all others come Oscars time.

“The anticlimactic ending was a huge disappointment”

Remember the movie isn’t called “Chase across the desert”. The sherriff explains the ending in his opening monologue.

BTW this is how you encode a DVDscreener. Who would of thought that using a proper aspect ratio instead of picking a random one would look better.

People were saying some thing like, that bald source version has 16:9 aspect and that it was cropped from the 2.35:1 source, which was original source to 16:9,
as it was shown on the opacity image, 2:35 (done version) was in fact cropped version of bald source aspect version.
In fact it is better that you watch bald version because you will see much more above and below, because this version is a pre source..

READNFO because DoNE already has a DVDSCREENER out but this is from a different (clean) source but
with a different AR. Ours is 16:9 where as DoNE’s was 2.35:1. See the pic in Proof folder (DoNE’s
rip is the top video frame) to see that our source isn’t just cropped from a 2.35:1 version and has
more video frame on the top and bottom when compared to DoNE’s but has a little cropped of the left

I’ve gotta say, you probably shouldn’t watch this if you’re expecting a typical thriller. While it’s one of the most intense movies I’ve seen in a long time, it’s story structure and conclusion don’t fit into the mainstream. So, if you can’t handle that then don’t bother… you just won’t be able to appreciate what is possibly the best film of the year.

I just finished watching the movie. I have to say it was not boring, but very slow paced. Personally, I think it’s over-hyped. The movie is too “artsy”. You start watching the movie thinking it’s about one thing, but the ending shows that it’s not about what you think it is about. It has it’s “philosophical” and “parallel” concepts that most art movies have, but after watching it, I went “You put me through all that just to show me this?!”. The movie leads you to get emotionally attached to the wrong character.

This an art movie, not an action movie.
