No Country for Old Men DVDRip XviD-DiAMOND

You could have bet money on this being released by DiAMOND. Expect great quality in both the video and audio departments. It’s a 2 CD release with a high bitrate and AC3 sound. Fair to say that most of us went for the perfect early DVDSCR by BaLD that came out in January, but if you were waiting patiently for the DVDRip, you can now enjoy it just 2 days before it picks off the Best Picture Award at the Oscars (well, that’s what I think anyway).

Synopsis: With NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, the Coen Brothers have found a perfect match in Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy. Their adaptation of McCarthy’s praised novel is a staggering masterpiece. In this almost impossibly faithful adaptation, the film takes place in a small Texas border town in 1980. Sheriff Bell (a never-been-better Tommy Lee Jones) has ruled the land for years without the use of a gun, but a new brand of reckless lawlessness has taken over his town. Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) is an innocent Everyman with a devoted wife, Carla Jean (Kelly Macdonald), but when he stumbles across a drug deal gone deadly and finds two million dollars, he’s determined to keep it for himself. There’s only one problem. He’s being pursued by one of the most amoral, evil psychopaths that the big screen has ever seen. Wearing an absurd haircut and brandishing a pressurized weapon that’s used to murder cattle, Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) creeps forward on his mission to track Moss down and return the money to its rightful owners to save his own skin.

    You need to install a program called ‘Vobsub’.
    Then just download the subtitle file (should be .srt or .sub) and put it in the same directory as the avi file.
    It should also have the exact name. (Nocountry.avi, Nocountry.srt).
    Then play the avi using Windows Media Player or VLC, and subtitles will display automatically.

    @ premo: Or you could use VLC Media Player and play the file; If the movie file as well as the subtitle have the same name (different file extension) and are located within the same folder, VLC will be able to play your file by automatically implementing the subtitles.

    Ok then… because both avi’s on this one have bad audio frames + big audio delays (~ 500 ms):

    Step 1: repair the avi from CD2. Add the 2-nd CD avi in avi-mux, press generate data, press start.

    Step 2: repair the 1-st CD avi and join it with the 2-nd. Remove everything from avi-mux (right click). Add the 1-st CD avi and the previously repaired 2-nd, select both (ctrl + click), generate data, start.

    Now you have the movie in 1 piece, no sync problems.

    Just open and save, avi-mux takes care. If you open the resulting file should have no bad frames no delay. Do like Tobias64 say, repaire each at a time then join both.

    Great quality download and just an amazing film.

    The Coen brothers have outdone themselves with this, it is challenging on every level and certainly not a film to watch with your brain switched off.
    If your looking for a violent action flick with no surprises and lots of special effects, then leave this alone.
    If you want to see something genuinely brave in film making then you must see this. This film builds it’s suspense through absesnce and I loved the use of seemingly irrelant moments that are more relevant than they seem on the surface.

    This film will inspire many films to follow and will undoubtably become a cult classic.

    Hi everyone, SOMEONE Please HELP! I know the video quality and everything is great but the problem is that sync problem. There is a delay of around 2 secs after burned to DVD. After i downloaded it, it’s great with no sync problem. Any SOULUTIONS? Please PLease SOMEONE please help. I’m using AVS Video converter for conversion.
