Here is the upcoming soundtrack for the fantasy film “Imaginaerum” featuring music from Nightwish’s 7th studio album of the same name. The soundtrack album is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2012 and the movie will debut on November 23, 2012 in Finland. Have a good one.

Description: A CD with the soundtrack of the film was released for pre-order on Nightwish’s official website. The songs are reinterpretations by Petri Alanko of songs previously released on the band’s album Imaginaerum. The soundtrack will be officially released on November 13, 2012.

    So, is this actually Nightwish or somebody else?
    The description is unclear, won’t bother if it’s not Nightwish, thanks.

    Took a risk and tried out the album.

    Firstly, if you’re a Nightwish fan, don’t bother, this album hardly features them at all.

    Secondly, it is labelled as metal, don’t hold your hopes up, again, if you’re a metal fan, don’t bother, it’s actually classical, I think there’s only the 1 track that could fit the “Metal” tag, at a push.

    In fact, the whole album is pretty much an orchestra throughout, with vague vocals from Nightwish themselves.

    So, if you’re a classical fan, you’ll love it, however, Nightwish fans will hate it completely, as will 99% of metalheads !!

    I think you may have missed the point of the album. It is a series of remixed Nightwish songs that are being used in their movie. Nightwish fans have been enjoying the fresh take on the songs and aren’t expecting much of Nightwish themselves (nor a heavy metal sound). Hope I cleared that up :)
