NHL 09-RELOADED

After a whole bunch of console versions, RELOADED finally released a PC edition of new NHL 09 from EA Sports. The nice thing about this release is the size – it’s just a half of the XboX 360 version. Be sure to have Windows XP or Vista to play.

Welcome to the future of sports gaming with NHL 09. Building on the title that won seven Sports Game of the Year awards, NHL 09 continues to evolve the NHL franchise with added depth, improved accessibility and a whole new way to play the game. The game brings Be A Pro to the ice, which allows you to step on the ice as yourself through a dynamic camera angle as you play your way through a career in the NHL. Expanding on an already impressive lineup of teams and leagues, NHL 09 also has full dynasty modes for several European countries reflecting the global appeal of the sport of hockey.

    @6 – You need to pay attention…FarCry was released by Razor, i dont see any point of doing same thing by Reloaded group. Just sit and enjoy another fine release by RL.

    Great another PS2 port of the NHL series. I can tell just by looking at the size, 2.66GB? Please EA give me a break. This is why I stopped buying EA sports games 3 years ago.

    Fantastic game but the best feature wasn’t listed…you can play using a special historic team made up of the best players in the Montreal Canadiens 100 year history.

    Even though Dion Phaneuf is a PRICK, I’m still going to pick this game up.

    EA: you guys are idiots… not releasing Tiger Woods 2009 for PC. That was the only game I actually buy because I spend so much time on it. |=uck you EA.

    Well, not much of an advanced engine or hires-textures can be expected when it actually takes less space.

    My review of this game..

    HORRIBLE!

    - Many rosters are wrong, even with updates
    - All goalie masks are generic
    - Ice surfaces have not been updated to new looks
    - Head coaches are generic
    - I hear the same saying from Jim Houston 7 times in a game.
    - There is nothing new from the past 3-4 years in EA NHL
    - Graphics are the same the past 2-3 years.
    - You can still do the ol’ “sega” moves – and win a hockey game 98-1.
    - Playing modes are still the same – Dynasty mode, which is most peoples favorite, has nothing new!! Upgrades with stars, is still the reg!
    - It still focases on those 2 dudes in the crowd all the time (game makers?)
    - No new jerseys for teams, for example the maple leafs, have many more sweaters than what they offer.

    I really wish EA would pull up their socks and do a total REMAKE of this game. Its been YEARS overdue!

    I hope when I test NHL2K9, it has improved..

    Any responses or other reviews?
