Apparently Fifa08 release date is confirmed for the 27th Sept. 2 weeks exactly. Im more looking forward to FIFA Manager 08..NHL will do just fine to cover the gap =)
Thanks, I’ve been playing every single year of this since the early 80s on Genesis. The PC version has sucked lately, which makes me sad. I’d almost buy a console just to play it if they could get it right. Hopefully the PSP version will be OK.

pc version of nhl2008 is just an updated 2007 game. do not expect same game as the ps3 or x360… you will be disappointed if you are a hardcore hockey fan. unfortunate but true – EA wants all of you to go out and buy a console – thats why they keep feeding us shit!!! they don’t like losing money on piracy so they do what any profit-making cunt would do – they tease you so you go and buy something which they make seem to be better!

i think since NHL 2001 (PC version at least)… there no been major graphic improvement .. only small graphic changes which sucks…but i think people still buy it for updated teams and stats.

Even with older versions of the game (nhl06 and mvp05) all you have to do is download constantly updated rosters and graphics (jerseys, equipment, arenas/stadiums, etc.) from mod sites. They completely change the game for the better and you save so much time and money.
unfortunately it does not look next-gen to me. Why do pc always gets the crappy version is beyond me…

Anybody have problems loading the game? My sys requirements are good…I just get a background image with EA trax playing…my only option is Esc/Quit in the upper right corner??? The download/extract/install went smooth and yes I overwrited with the cracked exe.
nm I updated my ATI X800 drivers and it runs now…dam glad I didn’t fork up $60 for this one…they don’t even have the new uniforms like the other platforms lol

Well forget graphics, not a single change and the commentators are the same and exact same speech. Some changes is they put back keyboard settings like nhl 06 and goalies move more now and go out and get the puck and are better at rebounds. Also the puck bounces around more.
First game on hard (Dynasty 5mins periods) and hadn’t played in a long time and wasn’t used to new key set up. Lost 3-2 in shootout vs Carolina and they had 25 shots and i had 27. 2nd games won 4-1 vs Toronto and had 40 shots they had 17. I was playing Montreal and Souray was in line up hehehe guess need to update roster.
Anyway the game seems faster and computer shoots more and goalies move more but just looking at the game you’d think it was nhl 06-07. The changes are pretty minor oh and they removed that annoying car ad before the 3 stars. And i get black areas on the sides of screen, there is no resolution for widescreen and only 3 to choose from. I own a 22″ widescreen, bah.
So if you get this game don’t expect much. Its nhl06 with couple of patches.Once i get used to it again there won’t be any challenge and will win all the time, same with all the previous nhl’s from crappy EA.
So if you weren’t too sure if you should get it, theres your answer.

can someone create a mini iso or image (450kb) and up it to rapid or mega or some damn place thanks.
Has anyone had problems installing flt’s release? I downloaded 3 different .ISO’s all the were the same size and all, but when I go to instrall, I put the CD key in and it tells me Installation can not continue, CDKEY not found. I have tried the ket flt gave plus the ones from HTRD, any ideas? Ihave also tried insstalling from a burnt disk, Alcohol Virtual Drive and DAEMON Tools, I am out of ideas, any help?
I’m having the same problem as #51 (sonik), where it tells me: Please insert the original “NHL 08″ CD/DVD”. I think I have unpacked everything right, but I still cant get this to work. Any suggestions?

what crack? There was nothing in the extracted files other then the readme document, the 50 50mb files and a flt-nhl08.sfv file.
where is the crack that were supposed to move from DVD to game directry, overwriting the older version?

When I start NHL with my controller (Logitech Precision) connected, the menu scrolls and won’t stop. When I get in game I can do everything except shooting, I think.
What can I do to make it work?
hi guys, I am having a problem getting dynasty mode to work. I can get into all the options like trade players, edit lines bla bla. but when i try to start the first game if freezes up in the control select/loading screen. I can sim the first game and im simulates it fine. any ideas what my problem could be?
edit: it wont let me start any kind of game. It starts to load and always freezes up. The music still plays tho.
