@#4 – What numnuts meant to say was “Excuse me, but has the location of the latest Simpsons episode been ascertained yet?”

Just thought I’d translate for the literate. :P

just downloaded it, i don’t get the big deal, it’s exactly the same as the text to speech program that is already built into windows xp/vista, it even uses the same voice and has the exact same functions, sounds no better than that default one at all

program works but sounds like a robot and it is way to much of a pain in the ass to get the “natural” voices to work

It’s a problematic app to be sure (to be sure). But I tried it with Natural Voices and omg the UK female voice had me wiping down the keyboard!

yup. this app is nothing worth without voice libraries. natural voices are great.
don’t know where to get them since demonoid is down!

The natural voices are not that hard to get set up. Using them without an app like this is near impossible unless you know how to program one.

To install the natural voices: Just make sure you run the install program for the ATT ENGINE, before installing any of the voices.

Trust me, they’re pretty damn impressive, I’ve been using this app for a while.

If it could only format documents (remove page numbers and headers) it would be awesome. I use this to turn eBooks into mp3 audiobooks.

Look for Dragon Naturally Speaking as well. That is voice to text which works very well. Then use something like this and you don’t have to type much anymore! Talk to computer. Computer talk to you :-D

  24. OK here

Hmm. One of the files (called AppCloserProject.exe or something) has that old torch icon that NetBus used to have… I’m not saying that this contains a trojan, it just gets me worried.
