Obama is NOT “tripled the national debt.” The national debt stands at $11 trillion — when Bush left office and Obama took was sworn in, the debt was around $10.2 trillion. But do you know who DOUBLED the debt? That’s right: George W. Bush. When he took office it stood at $5 trillion, and his administration spent $5 trillion during its time in office.
Now, you may be confusing the debt with the spending deficit, and even that Obama has not “tripled.” Bush’s deficit was around $1.2 trillion, including TARP I: Obama’s deficit is estimated to anywhere from $1.2 to $1.8 trillion, including the national stimulus bill.

1. The health care debate was on C-SPAN. FOR MONTHS. In fact, this health care debate is the single, longest debate on ANY bill in recent history. Longer than the debate for the Patriot Act (which passed in the middle of the night and was NEVER on C-SPAN). Longer than the debate for the invasion or Iraq. In fact, MUCH longer than ANY REPUBLICAN INITIATIVE over the past eight years.
But that is the stupid irony: right-wingers complaining about stuff that they NEVER care about when the Republicans wwre doing it.
But yes, you could have watched the House and Senate health care debate at any time over the last 3/4 of 2008. The problem is that you didn’t choose to, so now you are inventing some talking point.
Also, Obama NEVER said that “Guantanamo bay would be closed by January 20th of 2010.” He NEVER said that. But he did sigh the order, last year on Jan. the 22nd, to close the camp. The problem he’s experiencing is what to do with the prisoners. Of course, you know who’s doing everything they can to slow down this process? The Republicans.

Also, Obama and the Democrats were HOPING unemployment wouldn’t go over %8, but reality has a way of being very unruly and difficult to forecast. But it is known that the spending stimulus has saved thousands of jobs across the country. And it is also known that much of the money for the spending stimulus has not been spent and probably won’t be spent for another year or two.
Obama does have a few registered lobbyists in his administration, but it isn’t the same as having direct lobbyists, like we saw with Bush, who had dozens of them. Also, Pres. Obama later made a directive saying any former lobbyists were NOT eligible for his administration, and they have stuck by this directive. This is something you certainly have not seen from the right-wing, who are more than happy to shill for any corporation.
Obama NEVER said that “all troops will be out of Iraq by January 2010.” That is another totally false talking point. He did say they would be out in 2011, and that is when they are directed to be out, in May (I believe) of that year. The timeline was framed at eighteen months from a point in 2009.
BTW, Obama spent A LOT of time on his Iraq policy. Unlike the Republican party, he didn’t want to rush into a decision. War-time deliberations should have some gravity to them.
