Better alternative: Usenet Explorer. You can get a 64 Bit version already, a search is included etc etc.

Newsleecher releases are pointless without the server side validation patches. It will phone home and invalidate the key within days and I’m sure core knows this, not to mention this is over a year old. core is a solid group but they dropped the ball on this, not to mention it’s a dupe of a very old release. There is an old proper rls w/ patch out there (I think it was iND)

it can even repair with par files, unpack, delete original cabs etcetera. fully automatic 
FFF already did this like almost a year ago, including a working keygen that is not rejected by the newsleecher auth servers. 0_o

Can somebody explain why I got to change from Alt.Binz over to this or anything else listed?
Supersearch sends your licensekey to the server, so even when it’s working, they got your IP and your fake license logged. Haven’t heard about any lawsuit yet (fortunately we’re not all living in the USA), but it’s something to keep in mind. There are, btw, ’supersearch’ patches, which swaps the calls to the newsleecher server to (i.e.) binsearch.info.
A proper ‘crack’ (with or without keygen) should patch the call-home triggers as well, since it calls home every time you start it (and ofcourse every time you use super-search).
Alt.Binz is just as good as newzleecher, no need to change over but the last clean working crack for alt.binz is for version 0.28.3 and it’s upto 0.31.2

The last time I saw a year old crack released was for winamp I think which turned out to be a fake release and was packed with a trojan
Very old. The latest to be actually cracked was 3.95b3 by SND, which is newer then 3.9
This release is only a keymaker, it’ll get rejected once it checks the server, and there is no way to use it by editing the hosts file to block newsleecher’s servers.
By the way, this release floating around is a virus:

The installer file doesnt match, and the crack file is a trojan.
I never understood usenet. Don’t you have to connect to a server? What server has all the good stuff if you do?

anyone knows a free usenet server? or atleast one tat gives away free 10/15gb download without requiring a credit card?
xennews was giving away free 10gb accounts with no CC# last time I checked, but now I’m using astra and their 180GB for $25 is a killer.

Just use free Altbinz with free Newzleech – all I ever use and never had any reason to pay for anything instead – you know it makes sense

I recommend Grab-It, it’s free and works well.
@23 AstraWeb is cheap, good value and accepts PayPal.
Newsleecher is old hat. Alt.Binz is the way to go.

I have never had a problem. I spend 11 bucks for astra and 3 bucks for the official newsleecher with SS. worth it.
Going to get a SAB build running on here so that I dont have to vnc to add nzb’s to the queue soon.
