NewsBin Pro v5.53.9507-Lz0

When i use NZBs (Only use them from time to time) this is actually the program i use. Im sure most of you have your own personal favourite programs but here is the latest version of NewsBin Pro for whoever uses it or wants to give it a go. Enjoy!

NewsBin is a multithreaded news robot that automatically downloads and decodes binary posts to Usenet newsgroups. The program will take full advantage of high-bandwidth Internet connections by allowing multiple, simultaneous connections to your news server or servers. NewsBin includes resume capabilities to recover from lost connections. It reassembles multi-part posts across multiple servers and includes a thumbnail view when downloading images. Other features include Internet and Local search, built in RAR file processing, SSL Support, NZB message ID file support, and advanced connection management.

What’s new in NewsBin Pro 5.53 Build 9507:
· Supports header compression for Giganews. Allows you to bypass the Giganews Accelerator.
· Performance optimizations for loading stored headers and processing single part posts.
· Added progress bars to show progress of certain tasks (configurable).
· Added logic to better handle possible conflicts with anti-virus software.
· Full list of changes are in the release notes available for viewing upon installation.

    First, ISPs newservers sucks.

second, good newservers are not free.

third, paying for content you can get for free makes you look dumb, because you already pay for your internet connection.

it´s like going to a theme park pay the entrance fee, and then have to pay to use each individual attraction\ride.

did i mention that ISPs newservers suck?!

PS- the same applies to RS and all the others, just torrent it, ok?

Long live to the Pirate island and its precious BAY !!!

If you use giganews, then you know what their accelerator does. This release bypasses the Giganews Accelerator! With the GA I get an effective 25mpbs download, but with the new version of NB I'm getting an effective 57mbps download rate!

and yes I paid for this: its worth it.

    Release doesn't work, don't bother.

Besides, Alt.Binz is the best newsclient ;)

    May 31st, 2009 | 14:42

#21 obviously doesn't understand the true benefit of a premium news server. To use your theme park analogy, yes you already paid for the admission but paying for a news service is like going to the front of the line on every ride. (yes theme parks do charge extra for that privilege) No waiting for days for torrent to complete and no other BS… especially if you're talking about large ISOs.

I also pay for a news server account and it's completely worth it to me. I usually use it for the larger stuff I'm looking for and use the free services for the smaller packages (under 500mb or so). I think it's a great combo to have, especially if you purchase a block account (no monthly fees) at one of the news servers providers.

By the way, I use NewsBin (ver 5.35) too! I like it, but as others have said, there are other good ones out there that don't cost anything (Grabit, Sabnzbd, etc)…..not, that Newsbin cost me anything :)

Anyway, that's my two cents worth.

@21… Yes, ISPs Newservers sucks… they used to be OK, but not any more. Therefore… I'm paying for premium Giganews server ($25/month) and yes, I paid for newsbin pro $25. And yes, I'm using torrents and I'm using emule network and few other technologies. And I can afford it, just about $100/months I have everything I want and almost instantly. I do have a job, family and I do download for almost 15 years all sorts of contest from the internet and it's time to give a little bit back to the program developers, providers, authors.. I do pay for software, donating to torrent trackers sites, etc. It was time I couldn't, but now I can and it's right thing to do. Still there are some stuff I cannot afford (Solidworks, Autocad, CATIA, Pro/E) but when I will be able to then I'll buy it. If you can't pay for it just download it but do not promote stealing because you are greedy, cheap, poor or whatever you are. Remember, without all this developers, software and hardware companies you will not be able to enjoy your computer so much. OK? No hard feelings, just my two cents.

Paying for a newsgroup account is very much worth it. You can get steady download rates that are much higher that BT or a site like RapidShare. I get 600kb a second constantly with my newsgroup downloads.

Also, just wanted to say that all other newsgroup programs pale in comparison to NewsLeecher. The super search service is awesome, and you can find pretty much anything you're looking for without having to sift through NZB sites.

    May 31st, 2009 | 15:27

Oh, I forgot, you also don't have to pay the ridiculous amount that Giganews costs. Astraweb has an unlimited service that only costs $39 for every three months, it's ridiculously cheap for newsgroups.

Paying for Usenet is worth it.

    1) Super Fast
    2) Secure / Anonymous (SSL – no dl logging)
    3) No need to upload

I think you torrent folk overlook number 2…..

I downloaded the trial version of this program back when it was in version 3.x and didn't even wait the 14 days of the trial period to buy it. It's a must-buy if you use Usenet to download your crap.

Alt binz is good for freeware although it isn't updated now unless you pay. Newsbin has a terrible and complicated interface but works really well for people who download masses of stuff.

Either way; only came here to find out how it was cracked but it appears they didn't.

    May 31st, 2009 | 19:07

I use Grabit and AstaWeb. Grabit does a great job dealing with NZBs, I can't think why anyone would want to use anything else. It's free too.

for me, the ability to read the messages posted on usenet is very important. most of these binary readers like alt.binz do NOT include a built-in reader. It is very annoying. Definitely try NewsBin or XNews. XNews is by far my favorite but it hasn't been updated in ages. :(

Does paying for premium newsgroup access kind of suck? Yes, it does. But what do you get for that ~$10-$20 a month? Full speeds. No virtual foot prints (SSL). Not having to wonder if this program you're downloading is real, fake or full of infections. (You quickly learn what's good and what's not in the groups) No waiting for Seeds. No dealing with ISP's throttling torrent traffic. Etc, etc, etc. I've always used NG's since the late 90's. Have dabbled with torrents (is OK provided the swarm is good) and various direct DL's… but none of them are enough to make me give up NG's. Call me a fool if you like, but IMHO the fools are the ones that really think RS, MU and all that are "all that".

Yes you are right #41 Grabit is good and does the same as every other NZB clients out there and the deffrence is only when you sign upto a private NZB site like Giganews/Usenet that you see a diffrence but if you have a 50MB download speed using Grabit you still get what you want and fast you just need to wait a little longer till there up on free NZB sites till you get what and its free like you say who wants to pay for NZBs lol lol.

The reason i pay for a usenet server rather than just torrent it for free is because you get secure access. Ive had my internet connection suspended twice for downloading copyrighted files on torrent, you dont get this hassle on usenet

AltBinz is the best way to go

  44. speedy11131
    June 1st, 2009 | 05:29

Paying for usenet is worth every penny, for me simply because of the speed. Usenet uses my full bandwidth ALL the time. With torrents, if I get a good swarm, it hits around a third of the speed of what usenet gets. Not to mention all the stuff others have already mentioned.

    Astraweb and Alt.binz FTW :D

Every one of these has a trojan. Even the ones with virus checked. Unless it's Virus Total checked don't believe it.
