New expansion for Civilization 4: Warlords

It’s just few minutes since release groups PLEX and RELOADED published a pc version of new expansion disc for Civilization 4, entitled “Warlords”. I’m writing “groups” because they managed to release it one after the other very quickly – PLEX was first with Cloned version, and Reloaded then owned them with a cracked one, so you can get this bonus disc for popular game by Sid Meier in two versions now…

Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Warlords is the first expansion pack for the award-winning game that has become an instant world-wide hit. Paying homage to some of history’s greatest military leaders, the expansion will deliver six unique and interesting scenarios, giving players the chance to change the course of history with the help of their new powerful “warlord” unit. Civ IV: Warlords will include new civilizations, leaders, units, and wonders that will offer even more fun and exciting ways for players to expand their civilization’s military power as they strive for world domination.

Game features:

  • Warlords: A new great person type called the Warlord.
  • Vassal States: Conquer an enemy and subjugate them to your rule.
  • Game Scenarios: The expansion will deliver six scenarios.
  • New Civilizations: The pack will provide 6 new civilizations and associated unique units.
  • Civilization Leaders: Ten new leaders will be provided. The list will include leaders for the new civilizations as well as additional leaders for existing civilizations.
  • Leader Traits: Two new leader traits.
  • New Wonders: There will be three new wonders.
  • Unique Buildings: Each civilization will have a new unique building as well as their unique unit.
  • New Units, Resources, and Improvements: Many new items will be presented throughout the scenarios.
  • core Game Tweaks and Additions: Expanded features and gameplay tweaks will be made to the core game.
  • Post-Release Patches and Game Upgrades: The pack will contain all of the patches and game additions (pit boss, etc.) yet released for Sid Meier’s Civilization IV.

    I had the original for awhile, but I stopped playing it. On larger maps with lots of cities and units my framerates slowed to a crawl. AMD64 3200+, ATI X800 Pro, 1GB RAM.

    Horrendous framerates. Unplayable. The graphics aren’t even that great. Whatever happened to optimization? Just because hardware is faster than greased lightning doesn’t mean developers get to neglect function optimization.

    Finally! :D I love that game and the expansion is going to be even better.

    Kevin: Civ IV got much better with the last two patches, it runs fine on my comp now and my comp is not as good as yours.

    I used to run Civ 4 perfectly fine on an XP2500 (OCd to XP2800) with 2gb Ram and only a Geforce FX5600 in it, it runs even better now that I upgraded my PC.

    I played it now and it is as fast and stable as normal Civ IV with the latest patch. Lots of fun. There’s all kind of new stuff and the new Civilizations and buildings are pretty nice.
    This will hopefully distract me from the annoyingly hot summer and construction works at my houde the whole day.

    Can run the PLEX version of Warlords with a back-up version of Civilization IV. I tried installing the expansion pack but the installer said that it could not find Civilization IV on the harddrive. Is there any way i can get around this?
