New budget game: War Plan Orange

Not every game has ambitions to become AAA title known by every player. Strategy with extra-long name War Plan Orange: Dreadnoughts in the Pacific 1922-1930 is classic budget title: system requirements includes Pentium 2 600 MHz and 128 MB RAM, graphic interface is completely 2D and all is somehow cheap. Anyway, for some war fan may be this title quite interesting. This 1CD game was released by DEVIANCE just a few moments ago.

War Plan Orange: Dreadnoughts in the Pacific 1922-1930, from the team that brought you the critically acclaimed historical air, naval and land combat wargame War in the Pacific, puts you in control of Japan or the Allies (including The United States, Great Britain, The Commonwealth, France and the Netherlands) in a hypothetical post-World War 1 conflict that would have reshaped the future of the world. Enjoy the historical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail through one of the most immersive strategic and operational wargame engines ever created.

To call this game cheap only shows ignorance on the part of the poster. 2 by 3 Games is run by arguably the three largest wargame designers in PC game history (Gary Grigsby, Joel Billings
and Keith Brors). The graphics are very good, and among the best available in the wargame genre.

Wargames are about the gameplay, not the eye candy (even though the artwork in this game is top-notch). The low system requirements are because the game is about the gameplay experience, not about pointless pixel-counts.

2 by 3 games produce top-tier wargames, and to call what they do ‘cheap’ is incredibly stupid. IMHO, this game is good enough to pay for. It’s sad that people assume a game is worthless simply because it doesn’t look like Half-Life 2 (a mediocre game at best).

well i think this game will also find lot of fans who like these strategies but for me its 100% budget, which will be sold in sales of these hypermarkets. furthermore, i haven’t succeed in finding some estore selling this product, so i cant check the price, but it will be for sure something like $9.99 or $19.99. may be the gameplay is good, but admit this is not main stream title, which could attract crowds…
