Mas of the Betrayer is an expansion pack for popular RPG Neverwinter Nights 2 which was released during this night as a clone cd and lately cracked by chaps from group HATRED. The changes introduced in this datadisc are pretty remarkable and the game has changed a lot - after all, this release has over 3 gigabytes. You obviously need the original game in order to play this expansion.
In Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer, players are transported back to the Forgotten Realms shortly after the events detailed in the original Neverwinter Nights 2. Following the climactic battle against the King of Shadows, the player awakens alone and stranded deep beneath the earth. Surrounded by a horde of evil spirits, the player embarks on an epic adventure that reveals his true destiny.

I hate the whole turn based aspect… I didn’t dl number 2 becuase number 1 was as I said, turn based… Bah takes too long… I would rather go titan quest anyday.

It`s not turn based at all, I`m not sure where you got that idea from. The only thing is that you can pause whenever you feel like and issue commands to the characters which they will perform as soon as you resume the game. It`s not mandatory, though.
Haha, no, it’s not turn based. No DnD CRPG (at least not since Baldur’s Gate - never heard of any earlier being turn-based either (Eye of the Beholder series isn’t turn-based either) has ever been turn-based.
On the game; Yeeeeees! The Torrent community wins AGAIN. Cracked and uploaded before it even hits the official release date(s). In Europe it was Sep. 28th, and later everywhere else, going a week into October in the states, and even later in Australia/Asia.

YEAH!!! Love Neverwinter Nights franchise, although I do have to admit that NWN 2 wasn’t as good as the original NWN, hopefully this one will play as good as it looks. CAN NOT wait for Baldur’s Gate III to hit, either!

when they say improved performance i hope they mean improved for NVN2 and not just the expansion. the graphics are decent, but certainly not good enough to justify the hefty system requirements

even after all this time the main game is still fubar and having patches released, and they have the balls to release a expansion pack when neverwinter nights 2 has so many problems looks like a crackhead..

The serial number should be on a label on the outside of the cd case. Just type that number in when it asks for a serial number.
As far as I understand it’s a topic about hatred’s torrented NWN 2: MotB. Why would I need to download it if I had a CD case?

If you played NWN2, since you download the expansion, you would know that it too required serial at installation. And it was, as every serial is, found in the game nfo.

Well, I really FUCKIN hope that Obsidian guys fixed those goddamn major bugs, which were reported to be solved in NWN 2, BUT WERE NOT, and after a year or so I can continue the base game, without the idiot explanations that some of the misproggrammed scripts don’t start in some cases blaaablaaa.
NWN2 was the worst programmed RPG in the past 1 year. And I’m a fan, fuck me.

Hi. I downloaded this and it installed fine but I seem to have gotten some kind of error — the dialogue files won’t load and there’s no text in the area transitions or anything. This might not be a multilanguage file. Can anyone post a link to the english talk files?

Rename the dialogue.tlk file, reinstall MotB and you’ll be all fixed

don’t bother with this release. the crack is bad. there’re still some CC securom triggers in the game which make it crash.

no dnd cRPG turn based? troika’s temple of elemental evil was purest turn based. amazing game for dnd franchise, but definitely more of an enthusiast game.

The current crack gives out errors when using skills/spells even on a fresh install of NWN2,

It has nothing to do with luck, obviously your installation or settings are borked. Maybe your download got corrupted so the crack doesn’t work properly. But the crack included does work, and works for most of us. Sorry it does not work for you, but a new crack or fixed image should surface on GCW.
It’s a good game but really, waiting a few weeks until they’ve patched the most obvious game-breaking bugs will only heighten your enjoymen. Heck, it took Nwn2 almost a year to get to playable status.
