Before I became an editor for rlslog, I would often discover new TV shows, music and films I would otherwise never have noticed by reading the articles written here. Never Mind the Buzzcocks is a program that hasn’t been posted on rlslog before, but a show I think is funny as hell, partly due to the fact that Bill Bailey (Black Books anyone?) is a team captain. Its a British pop quiz panel show with celebrities, hosted by the harsh but funny Simon Amstell. Never Mind the Buzzcocks is now brought to you by REMAX. I highly recommend watching at least from the beginning of season 21, so I’ll post some rapidshare links in the comments.

Comedy pop quiz hosted by Simon Amstell with team captains Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus. Guests include Dale Winton, Moby, Jamelia and David O’Doherty.

    I recommend watching from Season 1!!!!!!! Jeez!!!

    This show, although 8/10 with Simon Amstell, was pushing 10/10 with Mark Lamarr.

    Same as when Angus Deayton left Have I Got News For You, it’s never going to be the same… :(

    Still better than 96% of the crap on telly though, both of them, go get it!!!!!!

    I went to see this being filmed twice this series, and the thing that gets me is that of the three hours of filming, they cut out most of the funniest parts!!

    “DVD extras that nobody else ever gets too see” as Amstell calls them lol :D

    And yes, anyone who hasn’t seen this before should definitely search out the older series with Mark Lammar- Series 1-17- although 11-17 are the best because those are the ones that have Bill Bailey ;)

    @ 22 - It’s not like QI at all as this is about pop etc, and Bill Bailey is much funnier on this than on QI. If you like Bill Bailey I really suggest you watch this show.

    When it comes to Simon Amstell, I think he presents this show better than Lemmar. “I must say, he’s a particularly well-behaved chicken”

    I prefer Amstell.

    Lemar took it too far sometimes and he always thought he was the funniest thing in the show.

    Amstell is sarcastic but gets away with it as you can tell it’s a joke. Lemar was sarcastic but came across as a complete c@nt and had a few guest walkouts and even made one woman cry.

    Lemar was funny at the time but I avoid reruns with him now as it just isn’t as funny the second time around.

    ^^BTW for those not in Britain, Preston is/was(?) is a semi-famous pop/rock band and went into Celebrity Big Brother, where he met Chantelle, who is basically the UK equivalent of Paris Hilton and now his wife (still?…lol)

    seriously excellent show. nice job. BUT it is possible to watch this streaming off the BBC website already. google ‘bbc iplayer’ can watch all tv shows that have aired in past week. Also recommend Top Gear if you do that.

    Simon Amstell is a lot more sincere with his lying and sarcasm. Get’s nearly everyone.

    Check out some of his interviews from his old saturday morning show Popworld (Arctic Monkies is a good one… “You know, when I first listened to your single “I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor”….. I didn’t like it”, “Why?”, “… it’s rubbish…”). No wonder this show ended, probably never got to book any more acts!!!

    first of all thanks a LOT for posting the links for SE21!

    It’s so hard to get outside of the UK.
    Anyways, I’ve been trying SO HARD to find the rest of the seasons but I could only find SE01, SE19 & SE20.

    Can anyone help out?
    I so wanna see ‘em all!!
