1GB… they really need to learn to program less bloaded.

  4. LGx
    September 9th, 2007 | 19:19

    1 GB ??? What the hell….
I am using nero lite, wich is 20 megs.
Of course, I do not need features like nerovision…

  5. September 9th, 2007 | 19:20

nice! is it MultiLingual? or only english in this pack?

  6. ice
    September 9th, 2007 | 19:21

Guys, you could try ashampoo too. It always works, and is like 20odd mb.

993.66 MB ??? holy sh!t. all that space & bandwidth wasted when all i want is to burn dvds. lol.

    @ #3 - i agree with u too.

I didnt like it because it associates a lot of your files to itself and that just makes a mess of things. I would recommend DVD Decrypter or IMG Burn.

I just hope that soon enough we will se the Nero v8.0.3.0 Lite and/or Micro bootleg versions soon enough… Not nearly worth the bandwith at 1Gb… There is a Lite and Micro version on Softpedia of the 7.9.6.0 version… it just needs a cd key be it legit or not.

  13. Kevin
    September 9th, 2007 | 19:43

I use Nero Micro 7.9.6.0, as mentioned above. Before you know it, Nero Ultra Edition will be able to make your coffee, walk your dog, AND burn you DVDs all at the same time!

    September 9th, 2007 | 19:43

NERO is the best and i’ve been waiting for v8 for a while now. All the programs that come with it are very great also, especially Nero CD-DVD Speed and i also like nerovision alot for converting xvid to dvd when i dont need to make complexe menus.

  15. king kong
    September 9th, 2007 | 19:48

using it for a day now,its faster, better then nero 7!

and it works like a charm

  16. HaVoC

  18. September 9th, 2007 | 20:08

nero 7 is still with major bugs and instead of fixing the old they release new of the same.. and of course you got to pay.. I’m using nero 7 but only nero express, and recode to backup dvd’s along with decrypter. The rest is slow and unnecessary

  19. Anon-e-Moose
    September 9th, 2007 | 20:17

    Nero 6 Reloaded v.6.6.9.15a + C.O.R.E Nero 6.x Keygen = no headache + good burning program.

As for this and the 7.x bloatware… Those of you who use it deserve what you get.

    September 9th, 2007 | 20:23

…maybe their streaming server can stream better now to the PS3/XBOX360.

  23. September 9th, 2007 | 20:24

I got the latest Nero about a month ago after my other one started flipping out, and I really dig the new UI but I don’t think a 1 GB dl is worth it; I think it’s so big due to the bloatware stuff they put in there (like anybody would ever use Nero Home, Nero Photo Editor, etc.).

  24. EnsilZah
    September 9th, 2007 | 20:27

  27. September 9th, 2007 | 20:39

    I like…

  28. September 9th, 2007 | 20:47

You need some serious help with your English. I am usually able to overlook your lack of understanding of the English language, but this post was ridiculous. Please read a book on grammar.

    September 9th, 2007 | 20:51

Nero is just awful. Talk about bloatware. Anyone with half a brain could figure out how to use replacements which perform much better and use a fraction of the space. For example: I do ALL my burning with Imgburn. I convert DVDs to .iso with DVD Shrink, and I convert data discs to .iso with Magic ISO.

For all the video editting tools you need, also check out http://www.videohelp.com
This is the most useful site for learning what you need to know about burning dvds.

Nero is great for making out of syc movies, and 1gb in doing it

  31. me
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:00

Nero is getting worse because they are only concerning in eye candy GUI and less on performance, anyway if your are getting it free u cant complain, but i can say that i use freeware that does everything like nero.

  32. KRIEGHOFF
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:01

I meant sync (syc, sick) whatever, should have just said its crap.

  33. BloodKil
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:03

@26 thats cause latest version isnt released till october

  34. September 9th, 2007 | 21:08

Nero 6 was brill. Nero 7 gave me nothing but headaches. I sure as hell aint gunna waste 1gb on Nero 8 when I can download a better program that’s way smaller.

Nero should have focussed on making a top-notch burning program rather than trying to take over the market by including shit we don’t need.

As it stands I havn’t installed or used Nero for a year now - not missing it either.

maybe someone can release one without all the bloat stuff and just rlease with the burning rom and startsmart

  39. MadBunny
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:31

1gb program, for burning media? Seriously, wtf do the put into that thing?

  40. Ben
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:36

Their crazy bloatware is exactly why I ended up switching to Ashampoo. Remember the little download for just the burning software in Nero 5 and 6? I miss those days.

  41. September 9th, 2007 | 21:38

I will wait til some one releases a micro or a lite edition with only nero burning rom for the new edition. I only use the NBR, everything else is useless to me.

  42. sudo nihm
    September 9th, 2007 | 21:48

I used Nero for years - until the latest version of Ashampoo - it burns faster, never fails - and transcodes to DVD faster than any other app I’ve tried, including Canopus Pro Coder 2.

  43. PrEzi
    September 9th, 2007 | 22:03

    Nero 6 ~ 35 MB
    Nero 7 ~ 180 MB
    Nero 8 ~ 960 MB
    Nero 9 ~ 4.79 GB ??
Oh Ahead, where are you going with this piece of bloatware ?
Nero used to be nice, now I’m using the Lite versions of Nero 7…
I think I will NOT upgrade to the 8′th…

I agree with you. 1GB ok is alot for a program BUT this Nero seems to be quite good.

I bet no one has downloaded this so how do they know it’s not faster?

  52. kph59
    September 9th, 2007 | 23:31

Although, yes, a lot of nero is bloat ware, their media player is really nice for playing quicktime movies. Screw quicktime.

Another vote here for Ashampoo Burning Studio 7!
Has replaced Nero for all my Audio CD and Data DVD burning needs.
I will still pick this version up to see if there are any improvements though, as Nero still has 1 or 2 features I like.

  56. demon
    September 10th, 2007 | 02:17

    Wow almost 1gb…

well nero is a good burningsoftware has a lot of features an burns almost anything+conversion so for the ripper converter this is a obvious choice…

But for us mortals…i prefer this burning software…clean fast and completely FREE

  60. Leechy-kun
    September 10th, 2007 | 03:52

The sheer size is only because it has multiple languages. When it finally is released on Nero site with Eng only it’ll probably be around the same size as Nero 7 if not abit more. Only thing I ever needed from Nero packs are Smartstart, Nero Burning Rom, and Nerovision but the rest is just a waste personally for just a burning software that decided to add more crapware than needed.

  61. tucker
    September 10th, 2007 | 03:56

still using nero v6.6.1.4. dont understand why the need to upgrade if you’re just burning data. sure for ISOs i use imgburn. but data is data and im using a newer 18x drives and it still works.

  73. spidey99
    September 10th, 2007 | 10:14

well, i installed it, however nero startsmart keeps crashing.I don’t know why…

  74. September 10th, 2007 | 10:40

I will get this cuz the size of it is not a problem and I will only install what I need (like Nero Express and Nero Burning Rom, their CD/DVD tools stuff, NeroShowTime, NeroMobile, NeroWaveEditor and NeroCoverDesigner :D ). For the 7.ver of nero the size of all these is ~300mb witch is not much for me :)

    September 10th, 2007 | 12:55

lol its 1gb and the program is no different to the previous vesions.

i only use nero express for burning movie to dvd after using winAVI video converter its great for converting to DVD better then shitty nero vision that puts your videos out of sync every single time.

anyway is your gay get this

    September 10th, 2007 | 15:15

“Anon-e-Moose” i use nero and the only thing i ever get is my stuff burned perfectly fine, which i guess is what i deserve.

“everyone who`s like 1gig???” it`s a multilanguage version that why its quite large.

…plus when you install it you dont NEED to install all the peripheral program as well just chose which ones you do want to install.

Me, i`ll try it out and see if it works fine i`ll stick with it if it doesent i`ll revert back to nero 7 thats the thing about computers you can uninstall something if you don`t like it.

We`re all damn lucky that M$ dont foist a burning ap on us with windows and that we can chose the program we want to use.

i’m having a big doubt! i think that the software and game houses made this program or game very large because if i must download a small file by torrent or emule it’s very simple but if the file is very very large i think two times before download it,this is the new way to stop the pirates! :(

lol. saying its bloatware doesnt really help much. Saying go to another alternative doesnt really help much. lol. Dont know why ppl always post those things

Everything is bloatware nowadays. Why not we just go back to Dos which is only like 1.44mb, where as now we have windows which is 1GB+!!!!!?????

some people might actually use nero for more than just burning, which there is some pretty decent and nice software to do other stuff with.

BTW Is this actually Real/Retail? Since there is totally 0 mentioning on nero site about Nero 8 yet, not even in their stores.

  86. Anon
    September 11th, 2007 | 13:45

Pretty high chance that this is a fake, and yall are infected with virus/trojans.

How can this be retail when nero 8 hasnt even been made retail?

Sounds like Beta modified to look retail, or just virus virus.

Hey dumbass, how do you think retail DVD’s are posted before they come out in stores? Or DVD Screeners, or anything else? Just cause it isnt offered on the site, doesnt mean it isnt the real thing.

    This release is FAKE!!!
This was NOT released by ZWTiSO!

    PROOF:

    1)
Check the NFO file. Where it says “ZiP NAME” it reads “ZFMPA9R3.RAR”.
That’s actually the filename of this release:
    FileMaker.Pro.Advanced.v9.1.R3-ZWTiSO
    See here: http://www.rlslog.net/filemakerproadvancedv91r3-zwtiso
The NFO was faked from this one:
    http://picozilla.com/files/130992l54.gif

And the obvious part: it does NOT match the actual filename of this fake release (nue8.0.3.0r.rxx)!

    2)
The filename for this fake release is “nue8.0.3.0r.rxx”.
Notice how it doesn’t obey the 8.3 filename notation rule (instead it’s 11.3).
Notice also how the filename doesn’t mention the group (ZWT always include at least a “z” in the filename).

    3)
    This is a DVD release.
The size of each RAR volume is 15 MB when it should be 50 MB.
15 MB are for CD releases.
50 MB are for DVD releases.
ZWT would NEVER make such an amateur mistake.

    CONCLUSION:
Stay away from this fake crap!

It’s fake in the sense that it was NOT released by ZWT.
    Check this release:
    NERO.8.ULTRA.EDITION.DVD.PROPER-ADDICTION
    http://www.rlslog.net/nero-8-ultra-edition-dvd-proper-addiction/

Notice how team ADDICTION doesn’t even mention ZWTiSO’s release?
    I wonder why that is…

The full story is that a guy at the VDown forums posted Nero 8. He actually bought it and even posted the picture of the DVD and the receipt.
He also shared the serial that is EXACTLY the same as the one on these two releases:

    Nero.8.Ultra.Edition.v.8.0.3.0.MULTiLANGUAGE-FiCKDiEBiATCH
    Nero.Ultra.Edition.v8.0.3.0.Retail-ZWTiSO

    Both were stolen from VDown.

Stolen or not, what matters is that the software gets released, right?
But are you willing to trust a release from someone who pretends to be a well known group? What are his/her/their intentions in doing so?

Use it at your own risk.
