    it’s multilingual so more space for languages, manuals, help files, etc.
    <300MB is the only necessary for 1 language without manual, help, extras, etc.

    This DVD isn’t standalone Nero 9 installer, which has about 300MB, but it’s All-In-One Collection (most probably retail version) of all Nero applications (Nero, Nero BackItUp, Nero Home etc.). So it’s for Nero big fans only ;)

    @7, there’s no difference between both versions… if u download the trial one (from nero web-site)… and uncompress it (with winrar or 7-zip, I don’t remember), the final size is about 1,5GB.

    :) when installing, uncheck everything except cover designer, nero express, nero burning rome and start smart. everything else is crap. or simply use nero lite. i like this new design, makes things simpler and faster.

    I hate to ask, but if you dislike nero then what do you use other than that? I prefer nero lite and that is all I need, but I’d love to hear some good alternative suggestions.

    most of you morons has forgot that nero is not a burning application anylonger. it is a suit of several applications for making dvd’s/cd’s & streaming to ps3/xbox360. all versions after 6 is useless if you just want to burn images/data.

    why would you complain on size anyways, are you keeping backups on floppy discs? are you sad that the stolen software is not made for your tiny hdd?

    on the other hand why use nero 6 when its dated and imgburn is available for free. yES sIZe MaTTerS!

    One thing to note though #34, Nero 6.6.1.15d was out this year with a few bug fixes & Vista support. Sure imgburn is free, but it doesn’t support anything but image files where as Nero 6 enterprise edition can burn a hell of allot more.

    If you really wanted something thats like Nero but free you should use InfraRecorder.

    burnaware ftw.

    I only use nero for burning images, i found problems with other image burning apps, nero good for it

    only problem with freeware burnaware, not able to save projects etc
    and had an image screw up on burning with burnaware

    otherwise, how can u go wrong for like 7mb or whatever it is?!??! I think it installs to like 20mb!!

    Ahead are succeeding in their quest to make a program that’s a jack-of all trades but a master at none. Their competition is WAY better: video? sure, Vegas, VDub. Music? Sound Forge, Audition, Audacity. Pictures? okay, Photoshop, Lightroom, Paint.Net. And plenty others in those categories. It’s like they’re turning Nero into the new Real One player.
    I stopped updating Nero at v7. Now I tend to use CDBurnerXP. Nero really only burns bin/cue files now.

    RIP Nero :(

    The links on #52 are good but the size of the DL is 3.09GB

    all that aside the copy installed ok and is work with the serial included but plugins serial will still not work

    Nero Vision is working after I activate it by Fax(hehe)
