Was just about to go to bed and saw this, i know its a little late but havent been at my computer. Looks like it could be worth a look at, might also be good for a laugh or two with nerds rapping about Warhammer, World of Warcraft etc. enjoy and goodnight! 
The documentary “Nerdcore Rising” investigates the newest, wave of hip-hop, nerdcore, as it follows the godfather of the genre, MC Frontalot, on his first national tour. Beginning in South Carolina and culminating in nerd mecca – the Penny Arcade Gaming Convention in Seattle – masses of fans across the country come out to bask in the Front’s geek glory as he strives to achieve mainstream success.
Frontalot fanatics are the real stars of the film. They are hackers and gamers, bloggers and podcasters, they play World of Warcraft, live virtually in Second Life, and of course, they love nerdcore hip hop. In short, they are hardcore nerds, and together, they illustrate the funny, fascinating, and unapologetically uncool cultural phenomenon that is nerdcore.

well as I said back @3 (and I’ve been around sine BBS days and played a few door games, then MUDS with my jacked shell account and DWANGO as well…) is that capitalism is simply to blame. If it doesn’t make money for someone/anyone it will never be popular or whats considered mainstream. Period. Nerdcore is only “rising” in the manner that its making money. Its been molded and shaped into a SUB (not counter) culture thats cutsie and easy to sell stuff to…just like the “scene” kids and “emo” kids. Punk was raped in the 90’s, as well as hip-hop. What remains constant is the underground, though. It’ll always be there- and never ask for attention or recognition- coz thats that REAL culture is about- doing what you do because thats simply who you and your friends are- no apologies or MTV spots included!

Honestly I couldn’t finish the film. I deleted it half-way through. I’ve never seen so many self-important consumers of inconsequential culture. Maybe their daddies should have jerked off and squirted on the wall instead.
This was actually a VERY COOL RELEASE!!! Granted a pension for all things “white and nerdy” is a requirement to fully enjoy this feature. Chances are if you read this far and are a site member you’re well over half way there to meeting the requirements. 4/5 stars.
