Need for Speed Carbon Collectors Edition Update 1.4-ViTALiTY
Guys from ViTALiTY finally released a 1.4 update for Need for Speed Carbon. This patch was officially released already in June but the scene somehow ignored it so it’s finally here and on torrent for you. This is patch for Collector’s Edition but there were some rumours it should work also with normal version. The main fixes in this 1.4 update are concerned about Windows Vista - the game crashed in numerous situations on this operation system, which should be fixed now.
The Need for Speed - Carbon update patch 1.4 fixes a number of issues in the game. This particular download will only work with the US English version. Do not apply it German, French, UK or other non-US releases. It is an update that mainly improves stability under Windows Vista, but it can fix problems that are non-Vista specific. For Vista, it will fix these crashes, but don’t expect to know what they mean: ‘Need for Speed Carbon crashes on bootup on Vista with the patch 1.3 installed due to an allocator mismatch between bware and renderware. Patch 1.4 fixes the Vista crash by fixing the mismatch. The Need for Speed Carbon .viv (EA Link version) crashes upon bootup on Vista due to an incompatible version of the PACE DRM Tool. Patch 1.4 utilises an updated, Vista compatible PACE DRM Tool.’ There, we hope that’s clear.

This might be a ridiculous question, but if you have v1.0 (original release), and there comes out say 3 patches 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, now do you need to apply all three patches, or just the latest one…
Bossanova, usually patches are cumulative meaning that for example, 1.3 patch will incorporate all the previous patches (1.1,1.2) in them. you can also look at the games site to see if it’s not but nowadays that is rare for games patches to have to be installed in order.

I assumed they should be cumulative, but in every patch they only list what they fix, so I thought maybe you have to get all of them. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
Hi, i tried all the patches. From the 1.3 old version to the 1.4 US UK , collectors edition. Everything. My Version is 1.2 - When i run the patch it says..File could not be modified as it could not be found. I tried all the patches and still the same thing. Can anyone help me out please.
Hey Hashim, i had the same problem with myne when i got it from the carbon site…not sure if that had something to do with it but im going to try this mirror…hopefully i can play online now
Does anyone have a working keygen or serials for this game? Ive been looking all over the place and I can’t find one working keygen/serial for all versions (multilanguaged) Thanks
