Hello rlslog readers! As some of you might have noticed (i hope 
) i have not posted anything for the past 2 weeks or so. This is because i went on some travels around Europe with some mates and therefore had no time to rlslog 
. Anyway i have returned now (at least for a while) and will hopefully be back to my best and bring all the latest Gaming Scene news. (and lots of other stuff to!). Newest to hit The Scene is NBA Live 08. Propably not as exciting as the new PES but basketball is a popular sport so it should get some of you downloading. I’ve been waiting for this. Release date in Europe is October 19th. In the US, it’s on the 30th.
When it comes to 5-on-5 basketball on the PC, we really don’t have a choice since EA Sports is the only licensee.
So I will get anything that I can (as if I have a choice).

need a crackfix.. man, this crack keep on crashing after a timeout!
Haven’t found a fix yet, but some people on other boards claim that the one available at gamecopyworld has helped them. It didn’t for me, but what I have found out as a temp fix is that if you press escape just before the end of a quarter and as soon as you hear the timeout being called it can prevent the crash.
This leads me to believe that since in earlier nba live series there has been an ingame cinematic for a timeout (players coming together to the bench and gathering around the coach) and after the end of a quarter (players walking away from the court) pressing escape prevents the cinematic from being played and thus the game from crashing.
I don’t know how cracks work in a situation like this, but even so I am slightly worried that it might perhaps be the fault of the release rather than the crack itself…I hope I am wrong.

I found out its a game fault. It seems that it crashes in the original game also.

yeap its nba2008 (although the graphic part is, so as they say, not next generation, but the gameplay did have quite some changes, not to mention bugs) and yes multiplayer works.

did you copy the crack? you have to download the crackfix thing up there and replace it in your nba folder.
@ joey i have the same problem but i solved it.. the problem is your directx maybe its not version 9.0c check it start>run>dxdiag.. i reformat my pc and the game works..

Hi…i just download NBA Live 08 Hatred but when I try to open the system information file called “hatred” (is that what I am supposed to do?) that is in the NBA_Live_08-Hatred folder it says “System information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or an unrecognized version.” Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.

to sean: just simply extract any of the archieve and they will auto extract others. in the end you will get an .iso file. mount it using daemon or alcohol 120%.

it’ll start counting down…then, after 45 seconds it’ll say Download file…click that, enter code…it’ll bring you to another page…towards the bottom it’ll say “Click here to download file”…click that and it should bring up a RAR folder…it’s a lot of nonsense, i know, but it’s worked for me…

Download the software “winrar”…use this to extract the file “nbalive08″. copy the file to your nba live 08 directory and replace existing file..and ur ready to go….
For the “insert cd” problem, the same process goes for you, copy the file and replace the existing file..
(don’t use the “nbalive08″ file found in you’re cd crack folder…It’s “bull$#@t”

I was able to play the game without any problems, no issues when calling any timeout. I’ve heard that there really is an issue when u install it on Vista. I am using Win XP by the way. Is there any links for the latest roster and shoe patches?

Help pls.I am just trying to install the game but its saying “Please insert the original “NBA LIVE 08″ CD/DVD”. When i open it directly from the exe file in the location where i installed it, it says it encountered a problem and needs to close. I tried to download the crack that tim posted but it does the same thing ‘encountered an error and needs to close’. I dont even get to see the initialization of the game.
I’ve double checked the system requirements. I even did a chkdsk. My system is even new and its xp. Im dying to play the game.ive tried reinstalling it many times… help pls….

delete the old exe file and replace it with the new exe file, remember, dont just copy the new exe and paste, cuz it won’t work, okay?!
if you’re scared to do this, make a back-up of the old exe file first if you want, just an assurance.

Hey, so just downloaded NBA_Live_08-HATRED extracted using winrar and mounted iso with alcohol 120% then choose language, install and cant get passed the cd key (incorrect)… used one given in earlier posts and also followed a key gen from hatred from post above but none seem to work…
