Can anyone tell me, is this program better than Virtual DJ?

i just wrote a post about this regarding VDJ

imho, as a live DJ who uses this type of software, Traktor has become bloatware with a cluttered user-unfriendly interface - having said that, it’s always rock solid and has never crashed on me

VDJ without the video in its newest version seems really robust with some powerful features, I’m impressed enough to use it from now on - it’s MUCH improved over previous incarnations

Not sure if this is the right way to put this, but I was just wondering is this better or worse than Halo 3?

    @ #1 and #2:

You guys are hilarious. I seriously hope you’re not serious about using VDJ over Traktor. Serato, Traktor, and Final Scratch are the top 3 DJing platforms on the professional circuit.

Traktor as Bloatware? Hilarious. On second thought, stick to VDJ because adding your stupidity to the already-faltered scene would only take it down another notch that it doesn’t need.

i stand by what i said about Traktor (and it’s not just me), and I am a f*%@ing pro DJ, you bedroom keyboard jock, #6

VDJ is vastly improved, yr correct it used to be a bit Fisher Price, but times change - morons don’t

when i used to use Traktor, the typical rail morons would be the ones saying that you couldn’t be a DJ without vinyl, funny that, now they’re saying Traktor is where it’s at, lol

Who cant mix in software only and say ur a dj u got to have at least SERATO DJ wich allows mp3 to be “loaded” into the vinyl and u mix like the real thing

TraktorDJ is much better… Anyway, whats new in this version?

actually imo, ableton live is where its at… couple that with an allen & heath X:One 3D mixer and you’re good to go. 8 Midi channel controls and 4 analogue channels - fantastic. you can actually be a real DJ and not a tw*t who can’t beat match but thinks they’re a DJ.

Adding software & PCs to a DJ performance is fantastic given that a person pushes the limits and uses it to full potential instead of using it as a crutch. Unfortunately, I think there are more idiots out there that do just that and have no idea what they’re doing.

Why hide your rapidshare link? When you get on the rapidshare site it shows the link:

    @booboodandee

You use VDJ and call yourself a professional DJ? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA If VDJ was soo good, then famous name DJs would use it - but do they, NO!

The only professional DJ tools are Traktor, FS, Deckadance and Ableton Live. These are all very rock solid programs built by software companies who specialise in professional audio. But hey .. don’t listen to us.. you stick with your VDJ .. you probably need it for your Hercules DJ console lol

Hi all! I am using traktor for 5 years now, and it is getting better and better! 3.2 is quite prof, you can live mix things, with all the effect. BUT: loops are still not the real. many times, T3 can’t cope with the bpm, thus the loop sucks…
I’d like to get the tutorial, to see how others doing with it! anyone?

The crack when scanned showed up with ‘Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic9.CIT’ for TraktorDJStudio3.exe.

    Anyone else notice this?

@#26: i think, it`s a false virus-alert of AVG. i had to uninstall avg to use the crack again (crack is blocked by avg, once found. restoring from virus-vault won`t help). no problem with different anti-vir-software.
love traktor. 3.3 is so much better than former versions… rock solid, no crashes so far.
btw: VDJ is also not bad at all… it`s a matter of taste. i prefer traktor though, but i heard REALLY nice sets mixed with VDJ.

Ok honestly I just downloaded the trial version of VDJ and have yet to find EQ controls. I have been using traktor for about 3+ years now and as posted it keeps getting better and better. As far as VDJ, holy !@#$ $299? This thing might be good for spinning at a 5 year olds birthday party but as far as a club is concerned or even creating your own mix compilation CD?!? The effects are decent for VDJ but as far as fading up and out of tracks you have got to be kidding me. I don’t really care much for the layout of the program either you have to click around, also not good for a live club based setting. Traktor all the way

still not finding EQ controls. How the hell are you supposed to fade in and out of tracks without EQ controls?!? at least it has a crossfader lol
