Nations Pride 2009 DVDRiP XviD READNFO-DVSKY
Do you recall the name Nations Pride? This was the infamous fiction propaganda film which premiered in Mimieux’s cinema in the film Inglourious Basterds. This is the film which was made for the movie. Obviously it’s not full length but it’s about six minutes long. It wasn’t directed by Quentin Tarantino but by Eli Roth, who also starred in the main film. Enjoy this quick treat!

Eli Roth directed the film-within-the-film, “Nation’s Pride”. Quentin Tarantino asked Roth to direct the short, and Roth requested his brother Gabriel join him to direct behind a second camera, which Tarantino agreed to. In two days the brothers got 130 camera setups, and Tarantino was so pleased he gave Roth a third day that he was originally planning to shoot with actor Daniel Brühl. Roth got 50 more setups the third day, much to Tarantino’s delight. The total running time of the short is 5:30, and was always intended to feel like pieces of a longer film, not a coherent short.

it is the weakest tarantiono production i have ever watched… I was not able to watch it whola at once, I made it with three attempts… It is sooo damn boring, without anything that shines in his other films…

I think too many ppl saw these two films (the main feature & this the nazi propaganda p**stake) & took them too seriously – normally i don’t like Tarantino’s work – it’s just too weird – I.Basterds, although slow to start is very well acted & shot & Christoph Waltz who plays SS Colonel Landa gets my pick for the best acting i’ve seen for ages.
