Its only been a couple of days since the Cam of this movie was released by Camera (Found Here). Now we have the TS which has a slight improvement in quality but I still recomend waiting for a TC or R5. If you are dieing to see this movie get this or if you can wait then wait for a better quality release. Enjoy.

Saw at movies…not a bad movie but then again wasnt that crash hot either !
got a question… which looks better? an avi file ripped from a 720p source, or a standard dvd, watched on a dvd player (for example a .vob file)
…what i mean is, a bluray disc is huge yeah? and the rips on releaselog are compressed versions of these films yeah? but they are 4.4gigs, and some dvds are larger in .vob format… So which gets the better quality? raw dvds or compressed HDdvds?
I’ll wait for an R5 or perhaps a Telecine if it comes out.
Anybody seen a vid sample floating around. The screen seems to be a vast improvement.

Usually the studios pay top-dollar for DVD encoding, which will probably result in a better image quality than merely a multi-pass re-encode. Granted, this is aimed at DVD9s (which are then ripped/re-encoded to DVD5s by groups). Retail DVDs were mastered at a higher definition source than 720p, but if you’re just playing it on a standard-def. DVD player, you probably won’t notice the difference.

)… or would the loss of quality put it at a comparable rate to what most standard DVDrips are like? would I notice a difference between two files of the same size, but from different sources like bluray compared to DVD?

I see like 20 of those posts on every cam/ts release. Nobody cares if ur gonna download it or not. It serves no purpose, other than to let people know that ur too good to watch cams and again nobody cares.

Not a bad copy, watchable if you really need to. Does anyone know of a R5 release date website I lost the link. I would wait to watch if a R5 is due in the next few weeks…
First the audio is of good quality heres the but opening caption I believe is in French. plus it kinda freezes like blips alot through out the movie wasted my time in downloading it.
also gets a little fuzzy so if you got a few bucks for Christmas go to the theater and see it or wait for an R5.. thanks to whomever posted it though…….

He may be joshing you Rich. I did a search on google-torrent search-shareminer-nexus and a few others and I can safely say that not one of them has come back with any links to an R5 or the dvd that you speak of. And if it was being sold on the street it would have been on the net already. See if you can borrow his copy and make a torrent of it or post it on rapidshare or megauploads. I am not saying that you are not being truthful when you say you saw it, but it does seem suspicious that there are no links for this yet it is already being sold on the street? Something smells wrong here and it isn’t the cheese.

I just saw the sample avi and it has an ok image and decent sound. So I am downloading it.
I think this is a movie worthy for a second viewing so I suggest for everyone who wants to see it to see it now.
And for a second more satisfying viewing to download a 720p version when it is available.

I agree Malakotriftis. I was not roasting anyone (and you never said I was, I was being very serious) when I said that there being a dvd was suspicious since not one of the so-called screeners available on the net are an actual screener. I spent thirty six hours grabbing one of these so called screeners and when I was finished >>>WHAM! Up pops my AVG pro v7.5 telling me that the same .exe that I was told to click on to get the password, was a trojan. Needless to say i deleted the whole shabang. ANYTIME someone tells you that you need a password to unlock a torrent, 99.9% of the time it is a fake. 99.9% of the time if you see a cat named Dennis or Sumo listed as a torrent seeder, stay away from it as it is going to be a fake and quite probably have some “nasty’s” in it somewhere. So IMHO, I really dont think that there are any “screeners” or “R5’s” of this movie out there. I mean look, AvP-R has been out for 48 hours and the best we can get is a badly filmed cam that is so dark that we cannot see half of the picture?? In the old days this would have been out three or four days before the theaters got it with very high quality audio and video. Seems that the newer release groups just want to be first instead of having quality.
I thought i’d found a copy…downloaded it ..UnRared and then got the sting in the tail… a .zix file. I hope someone comes out with a working hack for these .zix files soon, i have found one here http://andrewu.co.uk/tools/unzixhta/ but i don’t seem able to get it working. Anyone know anything about these ??

Gizmosis, the winzix file you got can be opened with the latest version of either winzip or 7zip. I have done this is the past as what breakerZ told you is correct..Winzix is nothing more then malware and has been listed as such by every anti virus program as well as every anti trojan/malware program. Why some people still insist on using this when they know it is a known trojan/malware is beyond any rational sense.
