National Treasure Book of Secrets READNFO 720p Bluray x264-Chakra

Well the guys from Chakra have done something really amazing by releasing the 720p version of National Treasure 2, and that is allowing us to burn their releases onto DVDs and play them on PS3s/Bluray standalones in 720p quality!!! Now we don’t have to bother streaming this to our HDTVs from your PCs, or watching this on straight from the computer, just burn and play. I never thought that DiVX players would be replaced by just simply using your regular Bluray player, but I guess I was wrong now wasn’t I. Of course this got nuked as this type of encoding is nowhere in the scene rules, but hopefully the 2008 HD rule set will make this a must ;) . Read the NFO to get more info on how this is done, and how to burn/mount.

Quality: Judging by the sample and the bitrate, this is one sweet release. AC3 5.1 audio is included, and although its not DTS, I think we can live with what it is. A crap load of subs are included as well, so that’s a very good thing.

    OMG common sense you have some real issues don’t you, fact is, I couldn’t give a flying @$@# what your posts say you constant babble and battle for supremecy bores me to tears. The format I use for the player I have is .mkv, so this is what I want to d/l. Take your petty little arguement about who’s the best and who’s sh$t stinks better then the next and get yourself a life. OR maybe you just need to get laid, what ever it is, go somewhere else and do it.

    Everyone here appears to be massively behind the curve! Optical storage media is on its way out (at least until HVD comes out). How come you all think it’s easier to burn stuff to a disc than simply stream direct from your PC?
    I use the Linksys EVA8000 Digital Entertainer HD, and it is fantastic. I’m never going back to burning to disc. What a waste of time and money!! As soon as I have downloaded a movie I can watch it downstairs on my TV in HD and AC3/DTS etc. This device can play all the most common file formats (avi, mp4, mkv, mov etc…) as well as most music and photo formats. Any stuff it can’t play can be fixed by firmware upgrades. For a first generation machine it’s outstanding. These types of device are the future! Does anyone else out there use this type of device and feel a little confused as to why so few others do??

    That is what I have been trying to tell them Brett, that with the new stuff coming their beloved mkv format is history and that 35 million people cannot be wrong just because these children think so. If that was the case then Elvis and the Beatles would never have been as both were told that they had no talent. After having my sources check with Chakra and other scene groups, it was confirmed that mkv format is being phased out and will no longer be accepted for use for official scene releases because of all the trouble it is causing; which is what I was trying to tell these children here and you would have thought I had told them that there was no Santa Claus.

    Death, it must make your parents VERY proud to have raised such a person that thinks it is ok to use a mental illness as an insult. While I am sure you were thinking about yourself and your siblings, there is still no reason for that form of thinking.

    Oh and Fikl? I did get laid…how do you think YOU got here?? Guess I should have paid your mother more then three phinnig to make sure she was on the pill?

    You totally missed the point of what Brett was saying. MKV is now THE preferred streaming standard. Optical storage is on the way out. Why the hell would I want to burn a movie to a dvd, so I can maintain a collection of discs and need to locate and pop in the one I want whenever I want to see a movie? I have two server-based 2TB RAID5 arrays at home to store my media and serve it up at the click of a mouse. No media swapping, no burning discs, just point and click streaming of HD goodness to HTPC in MKV format. Get with the program, dude.

    Optical media is fading quickly and the scene knows this. Chakra can go f*ck themselves for taking two steps back and releasing this as an iso. I mean WTF were they thinking?!? Ok so 95% of people (pulling figures from the air so bear with me here) without a PS3 can stream the MKV but the other 5% can burn and watch it. Let’s see, what makes the most sense? Chakra dropped the ball, plain and simple. So they will be propered and the vast majority of people will rejoice.

    HAHAAAAAAAAAA ohhh he has a sense of humor to. Insult me as much as you like moron, leave my Mum out of it.
    Thing is, I don’t disagree with you, I use a movie player that uses most formats, and when another comes out, I will jut have to update it. No more discs, no more time wasting, just watch in 720p or 1080p, it’s wonderful, I love it and find it hard now to watch the avi. dvdrips that most movies are still coming out in. I just think you are using the wrong forum to express your views. When new formats come out, everyone here will move with the times. No worries mate. Because someone believes or likes one format over another does not make them a better person.
    Just leave this forum for ppl to be able to find the releases they are after in the format they are after…..ok???
    FYI my Mum has true style, taste and wisdom…you are just not her type…sry but I will tell her your care.

    common sense hates mkv because he’s too stupid to play it.
    If there’s a hugh company like Micro$oft or $ony behind mkv, I’m sure it will be the world standard too.
    If splitters, codecs, renderers are too complicated for you, then I’m sorry that your IQ is too low.

    if you actualy would know what you are talking about, you’d know that what you are pointing to is called the ARPANET, the predecessor of the internet. it had nothing in common with the www, or what everyone is nowadays calling the internet, except providing some technical foundation like the tcp/ip protocol.

    maybe your name really is meant ironic, if you can’t even research your own quotes right or get a .mkv to play.

    I choose THIS one.

    I’m affraid the days of new media formats lasting for decades (e.g. VHS) are long gone. We now live in a world of constant technological change with new software formats coming out every few months. Unlike hardware, software can be created/altered at very little cost by almost anyone with knowledge. To keep up with this change, we need to choose hardware solutions that contain software defined components which can be upgraded with a simple firmware update (such as I described above in post 109). Pure hardware players just can’t cut it any more. VHS lasted 20 years, DVD 10 years and now Bluray is barely out the starting gate and HVD is already on the horizon. At this rate it will soon not be economically viable for companies to develope such players, as they will never recoup their R&D costs before the next big thing comes out.
    The writing is on the wall people! If you want to spend your money on something; spend it on your PC! Buy massive, MASSIVE hard drives and fill them up with free sh*t from the Scene. Sweet! I can sit there in my underpants; Digital Entertainer remote in one hand, can of ale in the other, watch 5 movies and half a season of Lost without getting up to change a crappy disc once. It’s a dream come true!

    I have a problem tb extract the files.

    12 parts, I extract the part 1 in the same folder of the others 11 parts, in th other folder I have a lote of win rar files (92)

    I extract and i have a winrar file (ck-nt2.iso)with 4,37 gb, an i try to extract this file and nothing happens.

    What I do wrong?

    Your arguments are flawed. The argument that technology is always improving and we need to learn to adapt is true in some ways. For instance VHS to DVD, yes, thats improvement.

    However, to take a 4 gig movie, that’s in an HD format that everyone has adapted and accepted and then change it is different. The iso format is actually larger in size, there’s no quality improvement here, it’s not any more convenient it’s less convenient as it won’t play in most media players or on modern boxes like a popcorn hour.

    As with everything it will automatically be rejected or accepted, in this case there’s absolutely nothing here to gain unless you have a PS3 so i’m sure it will be rejected pretty quick. I’m up for improvement in technology but this is not it. If they want to provide it as an “extra” for people I’m in, but it’s not a good standard.

    Not sure if your post 122 was in response to mine but…

    If it was I think you missed the point I was making. I wasn’t implying that releasing movies in iso format was a step forwards. Quite the opposite! An iso is designed to be burned to optical media and therefore represents a step backwards imho.

    How do I burn an mkv to avchd bd format for the ps3?

    Or how can I turn 1280×544 movie back into 1280×720 because when i play it on my ps3 i get a green bar at the bottom at 1280×544.
