National Geographic Inside The Green Berets 2007 DVDRip XviD-VoMiT

This is an extremely boring day with almost no new releases, so we must take even rips we wouldn’t normally even consider. Inside The Green Berets is an almost one year old 50 min documentary from National Geographic, which might be quite interesting for those of you who like the army and docs about special ops. VoMiT released this dvdrip with the size of 350 MB, so it would probably fit better into TV category, where other groups release loads of similar rips…

With exclusive access, National Geographic chronicles the lives of the war-hardened Green Berets charged with protecting local civilians from the wrath of the Taliban in a remote outpost in Afghanistan. In a dramatic turn of events, a tragic explosion strikes the soldiers and film crew. With intimate firsthand accounts, National Geographic provides a rare, up-close look at the sacrifices, challenges and deadly risks that American soldiers face on the front lines every day during war.

    Awwwww.

Seriously, you’d have to be a stupid to be a soldier. And you’d have to be even more stupid to admire such stupidity. I think this documentary is stupid.

Of course he’s serious, just look at his dimwitted nick. He thinks soldiers are stupid for protecting his ignorant ass – and he knows he’s worthless. So if you are dumb enough to help keep him alive and allow his sort to mock you for it, you must be stupid.

Frankly, I don’t know why you guys bother. You should just let all of us civilians die. Your job is not to protect and serve, but to wage war and stay alive while doing so. We aren’t worth the effort. Save your families and a few deserving friends, then unleash Armageddon. People like armapocalypse are the reason I look the other way when sneaky cameras are invented. His sort needs to be watched.

Soldiers die, and they can’t really blame anyone but themselves for that if they leap into war. Neither can they be respected by reasonable people for such disregard for their own lives.
But the last part was a joke; I haven’t seen the documentary so I can’t judge it. But the description was pathetic.

He believes anyone who isn’t like him is stupid for not being, quite sensibly, a coward. He’d say the same thing about cops, firemen or even first responder teams. He really doesn’t get it.

I am a United States Marine, and I can’t believe some of the things people are saying. Do you think we actually like going to war and killing people? We do this to keep our country free. So the enemy does not come on our ground and kill our families. So we can have a free government and not have all the rules like some of the other countries.

I don’t fight for people like you…. but you do not represent America at all if you feel that way.

This documentary was really interesting, gave a good insight into the Green Berets work in Afghanistan and how they operate. No matter the reason they are there, these guys do a job which is tough as hell and I’m glad I don’t have to experience the horrors of that place. These ppl try to protect ppl from a foreign country, they respect their culture and everybody who talks about that in a disresptectful way should try to use theirs brains once in a while. I’m not a US citizen (Austria), I’m not conservative or rightminded at all, rather the opposite, don’t think guns and wars are cool, but still have hell of a lot of respect for these guys.

@12 obviously has never spent any time with military people, as anyone who has knows they generally are very capable smart can-do kinda people.

I dont envy the soldiers fighting wars, but war isnt exactly new, and despite what guys like armacalypse would have you believe, it isnt an american invention.

“so we must take even rips we wouldn’t normally even consider”

I don’t say this is bad documentary (probably it is good as it is from National Geographic) but posting something only to post is right way to destroy rlslog. What would happen if one day you guys don’t post anything? Nothing would happen!

  39. Michael Collins
    March 11th, 2008 | 00:50

@34 cpr0duct: “I don’t fight for people like you…. but you do not represent America at all if you feel that way.”

Actually, you do fight for them and they do have the right to dissent – American’s have the constitutional right to disagree with the federal government’s actions and policies, and you agreed to defend that right when you enlisted:

“I, cpr0duct, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Now, if you’re really a Marine, you need to think twice if you’re thinking that some Americans are the enemy simply because they express an opinion; even one as lame as Armacalypse’s. Ooh-rah!

    @37

Thank you! And… Like most Native New Yorkers, I AM a Liberal Democrat and damn proud of it. I’m for American citizens (all of ‘em, even Republicans and Conservatives) and against anyone who wants to freeload on the system that was set into place to help American citizens. No illegal aliens are gonna steal my country’s wealth!

And I’m for the soldiers, but against the politicians who fancy themselves to be armchair generals. If the original military plan in Iraq had been followed we’d have been in and out of there in less than a year. Instead, we got political fools who dissolved the Iraqi army, allowed al Queada to get a foothold, and decided to play puppy dogs to the Saudis who wanted the competition (Iraq’s oil fields) destroyed or inoperative.

    If there’s a level of pussie-dom here, I don’t see it.

simple question: for what are american soldiers in Iraq? for liberating iraq citizens from “bad” saddam and stoping production of virtual nukes? btw. i hope you are satisfied with cheap oil for your hungry trucks for next years. american weapons syndicates can be also happy, they have generous contracts with goverment, which help run american economy. you are not “world police” you are “bloody businessmens”

This is really an incredible documentary. costa200, nebula and the others that posted about propaganda clearly didn’t watch this film. It is in no way politically slanted. It tells the story of incredible put in extraordinary situations. 10 out of 10. Definitely worth watching
