National Geographic Hubble The Ultimate Telescope WS PDTV XviD-FTP

This superb documentary has been quite a hit with the critics. A fascinating look at one of the most advanced space telescopes, it meets the scientists and engineers who put the telescope into space, the astronauts who fixed its faulty eyesight and the astronomers who use Hubble to unlock the secrets of the universe. Enjoy this fine rip from group FTP.

Positioned outside of the Earth’s atmosphere, the Hubble Space Telescope has stared out over billions of light years, to the far-reaching corners of the universe. It is regarded as one of the most important scientific instruments ever built, deepening our understanding of the cosmos.

How can you look at the far-reaching corners of something that is infinite?

  12. Count Spatula
    May 8th, 2008 | 17:07

They usually do mean “far-reaching corners” of the visible universe.

heres something to make you ponder.

If we built a telescope powerful enough to actually see life on another distant planet…would we be watching what is presently happening or the past due to the vast distance?

    May 8th, 2008 | 17:47

    @ 13 venuism

You’d be looking at the past. Technically everything you see is slightly in the past.

@16: not everybody *can* use torrents - some us have to deal with traffic shaping and firewalls.

Space, the final frontier. Just kidding, I wonder how many times the UFOs get in the way of the picture and NASA is like, darn it happened again, send up some more astronauts with another role of film!

@17 Joe.P: To solve traffic shaping issues when using Bit Torrents you can try this very efficient tool : cFosSpeed 4.21.1402 :-)

    web site : http://www.cfos.de/speed/cfosspeed_e.htm

    RapidShare :

    Hope this can help.

@32 antoni: you know if this allows for a turbo 3g user (mobile broadband) to use torrents again…cause my operator blocks these ports that are used for torrents and that means that its usually hella slow…is this the solution?

@34 The key is working I used it again yesterday. Steps to install an activate are the following

    1) Install the App.
    2) Right after in the Keyfile directory double click key.cfossspeed (which should now bear an icon logo.
    3) in the following screen you will be ask the password. Copy / Paste from Password.txt
    4) That’s it!

I will try another install today and let you know anyway.
