National Geographic Channel Megastructures Impossible Bridges China PDTV XviD-SiSO

SiSO, a group unfamiliar to me, actually has many releases but they are all of little value and are quite useless. This group’s last three releases were all nuked for being dupe releases from previous groups. This particular documentary was released by group DEFiNiTE on 2006-09-25 . However, since that other rls is probably long away from being possible to download, you can enjoy this one if you have not seen it yet.

The longest arch bridge in the world, and a spectacular suspension bridge. Each designed to conquer breathtaking distances. To withstand typhoons, and earthquakes. They’re part in the biggest bridge building boom ever. In the planet’s most fastest growing nation: China. What does it take to build the world’s most impossible bridges ? China is going under a transformation unlike any other in history. In just a decade, it has created a web of roads and bridges, second only to the United States. But unlike the US, China has two of the longest rivers. Rivers that divide the country, and disrupt travel by land. The creation of bridges is vital to this exploding economy. But China’s bridges are a bridge builder’s nightmare.

china consumes 1/2 of the world’s concrete and 1/3 of all its steel .. yikes, and that’s with 40,000km of new roads being built every year.
