National Geographic Air Crash Investigation Kid In The Cockpit 720p HDTV x264-DiCH

It seems to be some sort of a habit for me to bring you documentaries, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, I like flying so, unsurprisingly, this episode of Air Crash Investigations caught my eye and I hope you will be intrigued as well. I always thought that kids on planes are a pain in the you-know-where. This release sports very nice HD quality of video and audio, it features some archive footage that wasn’t remastered but otherwise this one gets two thumbs way up from me…

Kid in the Cockpit
On March 23, 1994, Aeroflot Flight 593, heading from Moscow (Russia) to Hong Kong (China) was flying normally, but suddenly banked right, ascended rapidly, then went into a rapid descent and crashed. The cockpit recorder proves that Captain Yaroslav Kudrinsky’s son was at the controls when the plane crashed. Furthermore, seems that he caused the disaster. Why was the Captain’s son at the controls?

    Isn’t this just the plot of ‘Airframe’ by Michael Crichton?

    I have seen this episode on NGC a few months back, but it wasn’t my favorite. The episode of the greek airplane which crashed in the mountains because of oxygen problems had a bigger “impact” on me.

    I usually try not to watch documentaries about plane crashes coz I don’t want to be paranoid next time I hop onto a plane

    @no way

    every crash is investigated to fix any causes to avoid a repetition of the consequences i.e. each crash markes flighing safer…

    That’s the theory anywat

    This show is totally awesome. Put it on your iPod and watch it on the plane the next time you fly. I like the North American version called Mayday better – the episodes are the same, but the narrator has a more ominous voice, compared to the whiny Air Crash Investigation version.

    Yeah, Airframe does come to mind. Excellent book. Not such a great read for the plane ride back from Germany I had to take last summer >.<
