Nas - Untitled-2008-YSP

Here we have new album from Nas released by Ysp. Sorry if you have waited long. I was busy so I write about it now. hope you enjoy in this music.

DESCRIPTION:
Nas is back and more controversial than ever on his new untitled Def Jam release. On this, his 9th studio album, Nas studies and lyrically dissects some of the our most divisive issues: race, inequality, poverty, and power. And who better to stir up debate than the man most consider one of the top five emcees in the history of the game? From his brilliant 1994 debut Illmatic, to his mainstream success with It Was Written, to anthems like “Hate Me Now” and “One Mic” and his venomous lyricism on “Ether,” Nas’ ability to tell stories, educate, make you dance–and make you look–is the stuff of rap legend. The outspoken Queensbridge rapper has sold over 15 million albums worldwide over the course of his storied career. Nas’ Def Jam debut, Hip-Hop Is Dead, was released in December 2006 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with over 350,000 copies sold in its first week. Preparing now for the 2nd Def Jam release, Nas is ready to release his untitled album on July 15th.

    @9 commercial rap blows.

I hate the crap that is released nowadays. I am a classic/alt/hard rock guy.

But NAS is different, he is not like the junk rap 50 cents out there. Listen or read some of his lyrics, he actually discusses much more than nines and hos.

Whats wrong with Lil Wayne? Every big name rapper has made a crossover to the mainstream record once in their career.

And Carter 1 and 2 are 2 of my favorite rap albums.

Anyway go out and buy this album, it seems like the powers that be are trying o blacklist Nas by not playing his songs on the radio or on TV.

Go out and support real HipHop!

  36. john holmes
    July 3rd, 2008 | 20:08

most of the “rap” that gets played on your radio/mtv etc. is just annoying noise. eg flo-rida “get low” or some other hip/urban “step up 1+2″ soundtrack song. man, f that.

i actually have to go through the trouble of finding my own quality music, rather than have it filtered and presented to me.

While I admire the word play and lyrical content of people like Nas or Talib kweli they are part of the problem by holding the moral high ground with black youth today by perpetuating this Fail Scapegoat mentality from the 60’s that the “The Man” keeps us down and the only option is to sell crack or play ball etc,to feed their self-righteous egos to their benefit not the intended listeners…No thats bullsh1t as on the Eminem post “Chinese American”(who is probably @Princeton,Cal Tech,or maybe UF on an EARNED free Ride) wrote the how can People who can hardly speak English succeed in getting out of the ghetto taking a slice of the “American Dream” yet black people cant maybe “The MAN” LET them succeed. While racism towards blacks is still very real to them its a one way street, and in their minds are incapable of racism even though the only people who ever called me a derogatory name in my face are black people who want every one to think they are “gangstas” around the malls(very convincingly),but when Cops call their bluff they pull the racist card.Or when Bill Cosby speaks “real talk” to the true benefit of his people hes labeled “Uncle Tom” and his character destroyed, because its easy to keep blaming some one else and pass the buck.Even tough he lived through the 60’s(to acknowledge its ‘08 wont erase 60’s)
Get over your inferiority complex and these victimized syndrome all minorities face racism but only black minorities seem to fail hard at over coming those obstacles.

@55 so who died and made you an expert about blacks. thats the think about you guys always think black people are one big homogeneous group . they come in different shapes and sizes just like white people do …some are educated some are not. get off your high horse . plenty of black people work hard.. your just too blinkered to have met any. @blueeyedDevil get over yourself the world isn’t as bad you make it. i don’t know if its hatred or hopelessness that befuddles your mind..

As sorry as other hip-hop artists are, Nas should not get a free pass based on lyrics.

It’s supposed to be music AND lyrics. We’re not reading a book of poems here.

He’s always had a tin ear for beats. So it’s no wonder that ever since he gained control over his ’sound’ (circa It Was Written), it’s gone downhill musically.
