MythBusters S05E17 WS DSR XviD-CRiMSON
This Wednesday’s MythBusters episode was based upon super-hero myths. It was quite good, in my opinion and especially the creativity of Adam and Jamie’s inventions. As the trend as it seems, tv group CRiMSON has been capping this show lately, in their DSR quality. Also it has seemed, acording to wikipedia that we are now moving into season 6 of mythbusters. The episode was titled ‘Superhero Hour’ and myths tested were:
- Grappling Hook: Superheroes can use grappling hooks to quickly scale walls.
- Ring Punch: A superhero can punch a person so hard, he can leave a scar that matches the imprint on his ring. This myth was based on the comic book superhero The Phantom.
- Phone Booth Quick Change: A superhero can change into their costume while inside a phone booth.
- Vehicle Grappling Hook: A car can fire a grappling hook and use it to make sharp turns at high speeds.
You’re not seeing things. As uncomfortable as it is, it’s true. The Mythbusters are wearing their underpants on the outside. And why? Because this episode is the Superhero Hour — the Marvel comic maestros are put under the MythBusters microscope.

Phonebooth crap was gay tho.
But still when they make extravagant machines it is fun to watch.

Very good episode. I thought this show would have been out of ideas by now, but the latest specials were all very interesting.

Jamie is not cut. He cuts the rope with his pocket knife, then hits himself right on the nose with his ‘wrist winch’. As a matter of fact, he says it himself later on: “I HIT myself in the face”. Watch the rerun and listen to the commentary.

…shit, I may have to take that last comment back…I did a search and most people think they are gay , but they are married…I just thought it was strange in one of their episodes they started saying the names of gay bars when explaining how one of their dummys looked when they dressed it up and I don’t think most straight guys know the names of gay bars in their area…..
Novadj what episode is that I don’t recall that unless it was the buster special which I have not seen in awhile.
I can’t remember…it had something to do with some kind of dummy they made to look like a person so they could use it in an experiment and they put a mustache and flannel shirt on it and then they mentioned that it looked like someone going to some gay bar which they named….it’s a little fuzzy , but I remember thinking that they were finally coming out….so all this time I just figured they were gay. Then I did a search today on Google “mythbusters gay” and all these entries came up with people speculating on it, but they say they are married(which doesn’t mean they are straight), so now I’m puzzled….
