MythBusters is active lately, each Wednesday lately there has been a new episode out by discovery channel. This episode is all about snow-based myths. Again, the people in charge of naming the episodes fark up as usual. The show’s title SAYS that this is a special, so it is not part of season five. It is supposed to be special number 12, being the pirates special is number 11. Ever wondered what it would be like to stick you tongue to a freezing pole ? Have you ever tried it before? And can machine gun fire set off an avalanche. Some officer brings in MP5 sub-machine guns for Adam and Jamie to fire into the mountain side. Later on Kari, Grant and Tory drive around in a snowy parking lot to find out certain snow-driving myths. Lately, as you may have read in a previous post there has been some issues with the technology used to post on this website. The problem has been fixed now.

it was a cool episode. i guess it’s nice to see it, and other TV shows, here on rlslog. But the release info is always about 2 days AFTER the episode comes out. Compared to the movie releases which are immediate or before the torrent is even available. makes the tv release info not so useful.

i wish (again) the site had the option of picking and choosing which topics to include on the main page. so people like me wouldn’t have to needlessly scroll through tv releases or other things that don’t interest me. would be an excellent addition to the site!

Get your info from a decent source, like TV.com. The specials ARE part of the seasons so this can be called “Mythbusters 513 – Snow Special”. Besides, episode order doesn’t really matter with a show like Mythbusters.

Not complaining, but the TV shows have been coming really slow. :)
Good episode. But ‘can you really freeze your tongue to a pole’ – are they running out of myths?

didn’t we have this big discussion last week where the rlslog team said that really design the site for web viewing, and would prefer people visit the site. was one of the reasons (besides being ripped off by other sites) behind their temporary shortening of RSS feed details.

anyway .. just making a recommendation to improve the site. I think a user-selectable topicview would be really cool. I know there are seperate RSS feeds …

I was curious about the machine gun thing – didn’t watch to see if it was true or not, but as a note, the HK Mp5 is a notoriously quiet gun.. which is why special forces and police around the world use it so much in normal and suppressed modes.
