Mythbusters S05E09 WS DSR XviD-KYR
A very cool Ninja themed MythBusters episode (Walking on Water) was released by group KYR Thursday. KYR is best known for its attention to quality and usually caps wrestling themed shows. Lately they have been doing more genres, which is a welcome addition in my opinion. All through out the show I could not pick out one defect to do with quality or sync. Internet icon ‘Ask A Ninja‘ is themed in the episode (spoiler alert) and picks up their own web-based skit viewable at www.discovery.com/mythbusters.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
It’s “East Meets West” in this episode of MythBusters. Shrouded in secrecy and mythology, not to mention cult popularity, ninjas are perfect fodder for the MythBusters. The whole team joins forces to pit science against martial arts mystique. Can ninjas run on water as movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon would have us believe? In “Walking on Water,” Adam, Jamie and a ninjitsu master try their luck at aquatic agility. And if that doesn’t work, the boys get confrontational as they compete to see how ninjas — masters of illusion — could create the impression of water running. In “Samurai Swing,” Kari, Tory and Grant find out if a ninja could stop a samurai sword with his bare hands. To avoid the sharp sting of steel the team devises a ninja rig to clap onto the sword, and it seems like this myth is all in the timing.
Spoilers end here.

great episode… love the mythbusters!!!
pretty good episode…ninjas rule !
discovery link doesn’t work right
Nice to see other groups branching out, this is one of the best MB caps in my collection, just pure perfection, props to the encoders and cappers at KYR.
Kinda dirty mentioning the “ask a ninja” appearance as all it is is him at the end for 2 seconds and the guys telling you to check out the discovery site for the ask a ninja segment.
But this wasn’t a true episode, Tory didn’t get hurt once, wtf is up with that?
Much better Mr.X! I’m very proud of you. This is way better than the House review. It looks as though you may be able to write better than peple expect you to. I knew you had it in ya! :p
Mr.X Thanks for the review. Informative and shows your attention to detail for quality.
Cheers
Nice Mr. X.
i thought mythbusters always do their homework… but they’ve forgotten Terry Bryan. in Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Episode 12 of Season 3, Terry Bryan catches a real arrow by bare hands!
