And here is a late TVRip by group WPi (air date 04/11/2007, release date 04/13/2007) . There is a distortion on the far right side of the video and also on the top border, which I was disappointed about. DGAS never has those problems. Although WPi covers both DVDRips and TVRips I prefer DGAS rips of MythBusters – I contacted them once about the incorrect seasons and they fixed it but would not fix some other errors. This is my message to TVRage – your MythBusters episodes and seasons are completely incorrect, and because of that it screws up scene groups that won’t listen to me. Wikipedia is right, not TV-Rage. The proper name for this episode is MythBusters [5x06]Voice Flame Extinguisher.DSR.XviD-WPi . I have been downloading MythBusters since the beginning of their series run. The pirates special counts as special #11, and therefore does not count as season 5. WPi is off by a whole season as well. For collectors out there, here is my list of episodes (updated) in case you need to change your confusing episode orders.
Anyhow, on about the show. Tory, Kari and Grant cover hypnosis myths, and Jamie and Adam cover the myth that sound waves can extinguish flames. The hypnosis myth is interesting in that it proves that recollection can be better under hypnosis. After that, Jamie and Adam go to the blast range and blow stuff up.
Episode 76: Voice Flame Extinguisher
It’s another hypnotic MythBusters episode, full of sound and fury, and guaranteed to have you spellbound. Grant, Tory and Kari go deeper … deeper … deeper into the world of hypnosis, while Adam and Jamie appear to be under some sort of influence as they make extraordinary noise in the name of science. In “Voice Flame Extinguisher,” Jamie and Adam set out to discover if it’s possible to put out a fire using only your voice. According to the myth, concentrated sound waves can prevent air from getting to the flames and, starved of oxygen, the fire dies. One thing’s for sure, the boys’ voices aren’t gonna set the world on fire!

It’s ep 5×07 not 4×07.
Did anyone else notice how horribly non-scientific the “hypnosis” experiment was? I would expect more from anyone, much less these folks. Worst I’ve ever seen from them. I will watch this show a little less from now on.
