Although im not a fan of the “Sims” style games myself, they have a huge fan base and im sure many people will want to know about this release, enjoy.

Has anyone managed to get this working without Daemon tools pro (ie. daemon tools lite) ? I tried the no-dvd image from gamecopyworld but the method described does not work for me (vista 64bit).

you have to download daemon tools lite since that is all ive got to actually see the mds/mdf file to be mountable ..
ive tryed mounting the image in alcohol 52% / 120% and same issue with invalid image ..
if you use daemon tools lite then it will install fine but it doesnt get to point of being able to play it ..
this will need a no-cd patch i would think for us vista 64bit users
I got it to work using daemon lite 4.30.1 and YASU v1.3 build 7071, thing is though it wont let me save any profiles, which is a bit of a pain…
Anyone has the NoCD patch for this? besides the smaller .mds file.

having it only be able to use daemon tools is stupid really .. i ever use to have a problem running anything using alcohol before

@44 Nobody likes that kind of attitude.
The thing is this game has no crack yet. Maybe reloaded or even vitality are working on it, but the clone dvd is useless without a functional crack at this point. The aforementioned mini image is not with its flaws and requires you to regedit (not something most people want to get into).
I’ve tried the crack at gamecopyworld and it hasn’t worked for me.. Even changing my regedit like it stated it does not work… It says “Please insert Original mysims cd” I suppose I will be waiting for a crack on this one..
48 Jelita: Sorry to say but YASU does not work either.. It has a conflict.. I believe it is vista since I never had problems on XP with yasu.. But I will have to again wait for a proper crack..

I couldn’t get the game to work using Daemon tools lite, but changing to the latest DT Pro and setting up a virtual IDE device, it worked pretty much flawlessly. (vista 64 bit)
@21: the http:// bit is added automatically seems to me all 3 of u didn’t know that! but it made you look like the biggest dork.

I downloaded the game from post #19, used the serial and followed the instructions from the link on post #42. Runs perfectly (vista 32bit). Used Daemon tools lite v4.30.1 to install.

use version 4.30.1 of DAEMON tools for installing. tried it with a lower version first but it always told me invalid image. with this version it works fine
Hi , I made post number 37, listing how I had got it to work …..
I also mentioned about I can’t save games… I hit the space bar to enter pause menu, but the save button isn’t illuminated, please help if possible, my daughter is about to dis-own me, BAAAAHHHH
@56- you need to finish the tutorial (by building your first chair and placing it in your house) before you can save. Then you should be able to save your game in the space bar menu.
It’s only 30-40 mins maximum of gameplay, unless you spend ridiculous amounts of time building it all, so tell your daughter to be patient

3. Copy YASU to Daemon
Default path C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite
Run YASU > Cloak > Play

I still cant get mysims to play i installed with daemons lite, and i put yasu in deamons default path and cloacked it, but still wouldnt play,it said there was a security problem ; ; someone plz help

Everyone that sais it works might just be lying because it don’t work with yaso and stuff. But i’m going to try Daemon tools pro and say if that works.

the game works fine here, with daemon tools and yasu.
The thing is i get a problem on the last star in game, the game freezes on the loading of the 5th star. I was wondering if it occured with anyone else?
Just got it working! (Vista 32bit)
Using the YASU method, clock DT Lite – then open regedit as per the OTHER method, copy the emulated drives “IDE\CdRomHL-DT-ST_DVDRAM_GH20NS10________________EL00____\5&2932390f&0&0.1.0″ bit (that’s what mine calls it), then uncloak/exit YASU, edit that same regedit module by pasting over it, then MySims should work fine with only DT Lite mounting the image/mini-image.
Don’t know how much sense that made but it worked for me!
As I described above, The method using yasu only works on Vista (I’m using Vista Enterprise 32 Bit, I think the other Vista should work, don’t know the 64 bit version)
Use the method from Jelita #48, it should work for you all
Note:
registry hack using the same method with yasu, it change the SCSI to IDE (I’ve checked it when cloacked with yasu)
i downloaded the game and i mounted it onto daemon with a disc and everything. I cloaked it with Yasu and i was so close to playing the game only until i tried to enter the game it said i need the original disc. I tried to use the crack but can someone please tell me how to use the crack. I went on that site with the crack but had no clue how to use it. Can someone please explain how to use the crack?

i have windows xp not vista
i extracted everything using magiciso maker, and the game installed with no problems… i still have the “insert original disk” problem, though… and the crack supplied above, i just couldn’t figure out how to use…
I've got it working
Use the MDS and mount with Daemon tools.
Check the SafeRom option only (Leave RMPS unchecked)
Go to the regestry and set it from SCSI to IDE and ALSO change the order so that the the Daemon tools CD is with 0 (Default is a 1) and then your normal DVD drive is set to 1 (Default is a 0).
This i think resets it's self when you reboot so you may want to save a reg script for this.

i tried doing the instructions on #48 but when I tried to run YASU it said that daemon.dll was missing, so i downloaded that file and pasted it to Daemon
