My Dear Enemy 2008 DVDRip XviD-BiFOS

Group BiFOS brings us another Korean movie named “My Dear Enemy”. For me, I never watched a Korean movie before, and not this time either. But I figure some of you may like this type of Asian movie.

PLOT: Hee-su (Jeon Do-yeon), an unemployed single woman who has hit rock bottom aimlessly roams around a racetrack and inadvertently finds her ex-boyfriend, Byeong-un (Ha Jeong-woo) from years past doing the same. She remembers the large sum of money he had borrowed from her that he never bothered paying back. Byeong-un, who now lives a nomadic life, moving from place to place out of his backpack, takes it upon himself to pay off his debt to his ex-lover by asking for money from all the women he had been with during his philandering days after his relationship with Hee-su.

Maybe not this movie, but Will, you don't know what your missing if you haven't seen, "Old Boy". Its in the IMDB top 250 and avail. in a decent English dub as well.
I wouldn't have ever watched Korean movies if I hadn't watched "JONATHAN ROSS' ASIAN INVASION". Episode 3 was just about Korean cinema. Ross claims South Korea is "arguably the world's most exciting filmmaking country" Ross says 'world's most exciting filmmaking country.
I watched every movie on the list he reviewed, they were all excellent.
Will, least give "Old Boy" a shot before the Hollywood remake comes out.

    Don't know any RS links.
    I still use torrents.
"Old Boy" you can get of any of the public torrent sites. I just checked, Ross's "Asian Invasion" is still seeded on Mininova too.

To Will: Please start watching some other movies other than typical American action ones!
If you don't know anything about some movie or you will never watch it, let some other autor to post, who will say something more important in his/hers comment!!!

P.S. Sorry for my bad English.

"I wouldn't have ever watched Korean movies if I hadn't watched "JONATHAN ROSS"

Like blueboy, I'd never watched a Korean movie until that Jonathan Ross show turned me on to them. I started with The Host myself, but it doesn't matter because they're *all* great. Even sappy romantic comedies and movies about kids that you wouldn't give the time of day to if they came out of the UK or the USA are watchable when the South Koreans make 'em.

All of sinister's recommendations are good. I'd also add:

    Joint Security Area (JSA)
Daesepo Naughty Girls (possibly the weirdest film I ever saw)
My Sassy Girl (best of the Romantic Comedies)
3-Iron (or anything by Kim Ki-Duk come to that.)
A Dirty Carnival (Korean crime/action movies are great.)

Obviously I agree with the others re: the quality of Korean movies. (I've been using oldboy as a moniker on this and other forums for some time) Chan-wook Park is an amazing director/writer and the Vengeance trilogy is some of the most compelling cinema of the past 10 years. @2 mentioned Memories Of Murder…another great movie…brilliant acting, cinematography and compelling storyline. The Host…best FX of any movie made in '06.

OK, here's some other Korean recommendations. Stuff I've seen recently and really enjoyed:

Voice of a murderer — based on a true story
    Ice bar
    Public Enemy 1, 2 and 3
    The General's Son
    The President's Barber
    The Moonlight of Seoul
    My New Partner
First Amendment of Korea (hooker runs for govt.)
    GP 506 (War/ghost story)
Silmido (Korean version of The Dirty Dozen — also based on a true story.)
    Truck
    Welcome to Dongmakgol
    Shiri
    Mission Sex Control
    A Bittersweet Life
    11th Mother
    Samaritan Girl

    Every one is worth watching.

Another good Kim Ki Duk movie is Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.

    Here:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374546/

This is a drama with little dialogue, but a very interesting character development, beautifully shot, about buddist philisophy. But don't get me wrong, it's not a religious movie.
