You asked for it, we deliver it. :mrgreen: Ok now seriously, another stolen release from “famous” TRADINGSTANDARDS as usual (expected) from them (Mutant.Chronicles.2008.DVDRip.XviD-PLUBE). But this time is at least DVDRiP in game, so quality is not questionable*. And as big scene boys they f*ck out all the nukers in their NFO. Wow, impressive…

*”Quality is not questionable” – I must disappoint widescreen lovers. This one is unfortunately ripped with bad AR (aspect ratio) on 4:3 – fullscreen mode… I think we should wait for a PROPER (if there will be any), otherwise enjoy it in this way (or play around with your av player and fix AR manually)…

Note: Nuked for dupe: dupe.PLUBE.2008-07-11 although PLUBE release is P2P. Nuke reason should be stolen source or P2P source.

For people who asking why haven’t we posted PLUBE’s RiP – simple, it’s P2P release.

Plot: 23rd century soldier Major Mitch Hunter (Jane) leads a fight against an army of underworld NecroMutants. Rea plays the former commander of Lieutenant Mitch Hunter (Jane), a 23rd century Marine who tries to save Earth by leading a band of soldiers against evil NecroMutants. Perlman portrays the leader of a religious sect who thinks he can destroy the mutants and save the planet, recruiting Hunter to join him.

    THIS RELEASE IS AN UN-FINISHED ROUGH CUT.

    A screening of the rough-cut is being shown at Comic-Con on July 26th.

    So this version is possibly missing special effects, bits of music etc, and the final version may have different scenes and may be edited differently.

    I don’t often comment on a movie, nor have I left a comment at rlslog up until now…but I was really disappointed with this film. I had heard good hype about it a year ago, I was so stoked to watch it…then I saw a trailer….still I gave it a chance, and downloaded this ‘workprint’ as you call it.

    I downloaded: Mutant.Chronicles.2008.DVDRip.Corrected.PSK.avi on pirate bay, and for the record, it is pretty much a 10 out of 10 for both audio and video quality, there is ZERO problem with aspect ratio, and the sound is crisp and clear and honestly, I have to again gripe about a couple of people saying it is a ‘workprint’, because I noticed NO missing sound effects, or music, or special CGI effects…everything was there. Although the blood at times looked like splashes of fake cgi effect…but hardly noticeable. Nonetheless, and I stress this….for seeing the likes of Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Thomas Jane (The Mist, The Punisher), Devon Aoki (Sin City, DOA: Dead or Alive), and MY GOD John Malkovich……all playing in this. You can say what you want about each one of those particular movies I noted they starred in, but each, if nothing else, was produced well, and was slick and polished. If this garbage I just watched is indeed a ‘workprint’ and still needs to be fine-tuned, I just have to say, I certainly HOPE so. Everything seemed to be in it’s proper place though, it was just a terrible mutated crazed zombie-ish storyline, that has been done a hundred similar ways, and often insurmountably better ways, before. DESPITE having a coal powered airship. And despite the constant, eerie stylization, which I do admit looked like it had potential throughout the movie. But this just doesn’t make up for the piss-poor dialogue, simply B-class development, and from the likes of John Malkovich, an unremarkable 5 minutes of character time. It was all these poor, terribly underused actors could do to hold it together. And trust me, the ones I mentioned at least, they tried there best, even John did what he could with those measly 5 minutes. But it simply felt like the Star Wars prequels all over again to me. Fortunately, we had no originals to use as ammunition and means to tear this one to shreds any more than I already have, I suppose.

    I give it a 5.5 out of 10, and that’s only because there was a number of cool and well-done effects, but it all just seemed pieced together, with no real explanation of how the world came to be as it was, and seemed like a poor mixture of the ancient and the modern, religion and science fiction. And in the end, there really is no proper closure, or even a cliffhanger worth hanging on to. I’d rather let go and fall to my death. Waste of my personal couple of hours, for at least somewhat of a considerable expectation I had for this film. I’m just glad I saved my 10 bucks at the theater, but I will give it another chance a half a year or so from now, on an unrated blueray or something.

    That’s my two cents.

    Just curious, anyone else get tired of the whole scene vs. p2p or “stolen source” stuff too? I mean isn’t all stolen anyway? So aren’t we just splitting hairs, especially when most of the referring links go to newtorrents.info which is a p2p site? It would be one thing if it all linked to usenet but if you’re not going to post p2p sources then don’t link us to p2p sites…seems a bit hypocritical to me. Anybody else agree?

    btw..just want to say I’m not complaining about all the great work you all do. Can’t get the detailed info you provide with the dL links etc. in one place anywhere else, and it’ free. Just that one issue I think gets old to alot of people b/c in the end we just want to dL the file. regardless of what the source is.

    @ changinglanes ,the previous comments abt this r correct,this is not the final edited movie but ” work in progress” which the producers r saying and this same copy will be screened at comiccon on july 26th ,here is the link ,read for urself- http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci08_prog_sat.php . also imdb.com says the runtime is 111 minutes but this is only 1:46:54 ,so its missing around 4-5 minutes.

    for anybody who is wandering on downloading this movie… do it if ya like GORE Movies preety damn good fight scenes are great just one thing really the same thing that is in mostly ALL movies lately the Ambience seems to be a little loud making it quite hard to hear for instance i basically dont even know the story at the beginning so unless you wanna listen…..HARD watch it on ipod. ;)

    I actually really enjoyed the movie but its about time someone who didn’t like the movie actually gave a reason and logical one at dat. i understand where ur coming from and why people mite not like this movie so props to u for dat. If u don’t like a film n want to show it or warn us, take lessons from this guy! he even didn’t give the clichè 1/10 vote!
