   @1 if by modern you mean that Emo, Rap or modern country trash then you need to branch out a bit more. This site doesn't exactly have variety.

   Quality wise how do these compare to the DESS Blue and Red remasters? Did they just clip them like most other "remasters"? I doubt this is the place to ask considering the content that this site chooses to post but what the hell.

   @4 I think the quality of these will be comparable to the Blue/Red albums. I have all of these CDs and when I ripped them a few years back, I don't recall hearing a noticeable difference in audio quality if any at all, though I didn't do any direct comparison to check for it. But it goes without saying that there is a lot of great music on these CDs that will be missing from the Red & Blue sets.

   @1 is obviously a troll trying to trigger a response. If not a troll, truly clueless to put it kindly.

    That's quite an exaggeration. While their contributions can't be denied, neither Elvis or the Beatles were operating in a vacuum. They had plenty of contemporaries which all culminated in the sounds of the 50s and 60s and that have had such profound influence until this day.

    It is completely silly to get into a dialogue about whether the beatles are better/worse than black eyed peas or whoever because there is no basis for objective comparison. Peeps are just flaunting their subjectivity, but I will say this – pop music or popular music's greatest appeal appeal is its contemporanity.

    Something screeched 50 years ago ain't contemporary, it is history and needs to be relegated as such.
    Listen to the beatles, elvis or even pat boone all you want but recognise that in essence you are a musical version of a trekkie, slavishly hanging on to outmoded traditions because the here and now makes you feel too uncomfortable.
    Popular music's energy comes from the fact it is inextricably intertwined with all the aspects of the culture is is generated within, when you listen to old music it has lost it's power, it can no longer effect any resonance within society. Take "I wanna hold your hand" how irrelevant is that?

    The beatles music is past its time, over the hill, last year's news, and has no relevance outside it's hook/melody and imagined tunefulness.

    Pop music is disposable culture. Listening to generations old pop music is like wearing the same sh1tty diaper for 50 years.

    Let's not get carried away with if it wasn't for the beetles or elvis there wouldn't be modern music. Last i checked Real Rock N Roll was the start of modern music. Wouldn't be an elvis with out jackie wilson chuck berry and company.

    I see you're point about Beatles fans being like Trekkies…you miss one fact though….some of us listen to them simply because it is fantastic music…..I'm 30, so I'm not trying to hold onto any youth or anything like that…..I simply enjoy the music. And sure, their earlier stuff is quite outdated, but tell me Sgt. Pepper isn't an amazing album? One of many I might add.

    Oh, and for the record, I'm writing this while listening to stuff like The Dead Weather, Rise Against, Epica, House of Pain, Blink 182, BEP, Bif Naked, Cage the Elephant, Alice In Chains and Jet…..among others….so don't go sayin' I can't appreciate modern music either…..

    who says the beatles is pop music in the sense you talk about it. yes it was popular but its not necessarily disposable.
    beethoven and mozart were the pop composers of their day but their music still has impact to this day, possibly not for hormone enraged teens looking to get wasted and laid but that's not necessarily the only point of existence.

    you can keep your pop music, give me art, and that's purely subjective.

    These are the Stereo versions. There will also be a "Mono" version of the Ablumbs release – because this is how the Beatles indended them to sound. Many reviewers have said that the Mono versions actually sound far better.

    Does anyone have links to the Mono's ????????

    Good music is good music. Doesn't matter if it was released 30 years ago or yesterday (no pun intended). Just because a song makes a lot of money or is played on the radio doesn't mean it is better than a song that has only been heard by one person.

    That said I think most people recognise that the Beatles have influenced more people than the run-of-the-mill pop band.

    To people asking about quality etc, there has been a lot of white noise removed and some of the tracks sound brighter somehow. And yes the difference is obvious even via Mp3

    Thank you @39, finally someone with some sense! I cringe every time I hear Elvis being called the "king" of rock and roll or Michael being called the "King" of pop. While both did make advances to their forms of music, they in no way should or could be considered the "kings" of anything as they would not be where they are or where people imagined them to be without the early "rockabillys" that infused the blues with a speeded up version of country and added guitar riffs or hot piano's. I mean take the country song "Down Yonder" and that piano riff would easily rival if not surpass anything done today. Or Chuck Berry's intro riff on Johnny B Goode would easily equal anything done today. Or the greatest guitar player that ever has lived and that is Chet Atkins, the ONLY man alive that could and still does; play two complete songs on the same guitar at the same blinking time and not miss a beat on either. And he is in his late 80's! So before these 'children' start making claims, if it wasnt for people like Hank Williams and Doris Day/the Big Bopper/Ritchie Valens/Fats Domino/Chet Atkins/Bill Hailey and the Comets and the rest of the people who started urban/rap/rock back in the 40's and 50's, NONE of it would exist today. THEY are the ones that bear the titles "Kings and Queens", not some johnny come lately like Elvis and Michael Jackson. Oh and BTW, here is a little trivia for you..the biggest selling album of all time was NOT Michael Jacksons Thriller, it is Bing Crosby's White Christmas which has to date sold over 500 million world wide, to MJ's pitiful 385 million copies of Thriller worldwide. And here is yet another shocker…ABBA has sold over 350 million world wide, and if they take up the offer for the 1 billion dollar (250 mill to each flat pay out) they will SURPASS Jackson and come close to Crosby!

    so i just downloaded the white album (stereo in flac) & i cant tell the difference from the 320kbps mp3 release…

    probably not gonna download the rest in flac now, & the flac songs were about 30mb each…

    do you have any sources to back up your bing crosby claim? no doubt it's the best-selling christmas album of all-time and the single "white christmas" is the best selling single of all-time but the album did not sell 500 million. MJ didn't sell 385 either… i believe Thriller is the only album to break the 100 million mark…

    and another thing… Just because you start off a genre doesn't mean you're considered a king. Congratulations on being a pioneer but elvis "perfected" it and that's why he's considered the king of rock=n-roll. Babe Ruth is considered to be the greatest baseball player ever but he didn't invent the game of baseball.
