Music competition and poll results
There were some minor problems which caused a little delay in this announcement but anyway, the Music competition results are finally in. I launched this contest just as a small trial without expecting a greater response, but the results were quite impressive. We received well over 100 correct posts and tens of others which were missing some of the requested parts and weren’t counted. It was nice to see that few readers offered their help even without competing for a Rapidshare premium account.
Here are the results: Out of the 32 contributors who signed up and posted at least 1 article, the user with nickname Ertunc won with a huge advance against anyone else with a total of 41 posts. The next two followers on second and third place respectively are Prezdead and Chinballs. All three users won premium account for Rapidshare which will enable them to download without limits for 1 month. Details will be mailed to your emails in next few days. The competition is now over and I consider it a big success, so we will probably repeat something similar in the future for other categories as well. I will also offer a position of regular editor to all entrants, so you will most likely see more posts from the competition guys here at Releaselog pretty soon.
Finally, I closed the last poll question and prepared a new one for all of you. We asked a simple question about your gender lately and it was quite surprising: there’s about 10 percent of girls and women among RLSLOG readers! That’s not really bad considering our niche and sort of things we write about. The new question was inspired by sunny weather and Summer getting closer every day and I guess it will be pretty interesting to see the results this time too…

on the next competition can it be put in a link so only those interested have to read it. you can then count how many people (Uniques) click the link to see who is really interested in these competitions as there were lots of complainers in the comments for this one.
I believe you must have lost lots of new visitors who came here for the first time and saw all this cr@p and never returned.
Here’s an idea, how about having a competition for Non English Movies DVDRIPs? That is also very lacking here,

If you do a music competition like this again, please try and send your emails quicker than 20 to 30 hours(!).
I was 12 hours late to sign in, but then I had to wait a whole day for your email. Then I could sign up to Wordpress and send you guys my nickname (masterbates). Then I had to wait at least another whole day for you guys to confirm that I can start making the posts.
That gave me about 4 hours left before the competition closed !
I made about 12 posts eventually… I wonder how many were correct. They are all still up for review. I guess that will never happen now…

masterbates: i know about this and will learn from it for the future. majority of users had their working account minutes after their mail but you were sadly one of those who had to wait a bit. as i said, it was just a quick idea turned into a quick contest and it should be much better next time. and regarding your posts - we checked them, but you were often missing an intro paragraph and rls name at the bottom…

BUT I think we need to cool it with the music releases as was said. Make it EVEN with the other categories instead of just spamming each music release that comes out.
As for the new pole … summer will be strange this year. Job, gf, cabin. Bah, my warez!! lmao.
