Muse-The Resistance (Retail) 2009-SiRE
After several nuked releases, I think this should be the real deal, released by SiRE, with new album “The Resistance” from Muse, including a Bonus DVD audio track release.

Following seven years of near solid touring, Muse escalated from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004. With each successive album, they pushed the musical envelope with a fusion of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation, creating an emotive, passionate sound. Muse’s reputation as one of the best live rock bands in the world is well deserved with their exhilirating live performances drewing critical acclaim, industry buzz, and a loyal and rabid fan base.

great! thx!
whats diffrent between this release and Muse-The_Resistance-PROPER-2009-BiGW?
^ Difference is that SiRE comes with a scan, proving it is real. BiGW could be another 192 reencode for all we know…
Yeah, the last one that was released seemed "real" enough to me. It's certainly been real enough for me to burn it to a CD and rock out to it in my car. Best Muse album ever, BTW, only surpassed perhaps by Black Holes and Revelations.
While I agree that this album is their best ever, I think Absolution was much better then black holes…
Not trolling, just stating opinion.
Thanks for the release!
Seconded Absolution was best Muse album. Looking forward to giving this a listen!
This release is just one big long useless MP3…. I'll go with a nuked version, thanks.
Absolution without doubt the best Muse album. And the BiGW release is fine for me.

@ Matt How can this be their best album ever yet be surpassed by Black Holes ?????
Absolution get's my vote.
Wrong! Words cannot describe how disappointing this album is. The best track, Unnatural Selection, is one of the only tracks on there where Matt's realised he is still able to play the guitar. No where near enough guitar riffs and far too much orchestral non-sense. If you're looking for a rocking Muse album, this is not it. IMO there is 3 good tracks, 3 lame tracks and 5 average tracks.
@ All the Absolution lovers, it isn't much better that this…Origin of Symmetry and BH&R are where it's at.
worst album Muse ever, big disappointing in this
ive been a muse fan for about 8 years now, Origin of symmetry is obviously their best album and in my opinion this one comes in at second beating absolution, black holes and showbiz are both good, but just not in the same league as the others, this album is the best ive heard this year by miles.
Cheers
The only song from Origin that I will listen to is Plug In Baby…. all the others just dont appeal to me, whereas on Absolution I could listen to every track on it.
Interesting that so many people have very different opinions on Muse's work. I suppose Muse do tend to change their style a fair bit for each album, so its not too surprising.
This album is very, very good. The songs grow on you as you listen to them. I'm not sure I could call it the best Muse has ever done though.
