Muse-The Resistance-Real Proper-2009-HSM

Here’s the Real Proper version of the for the new Muse album!

Undoubtedly one the most anticipated rock albums of 2009, the long wait has been truly justified. A sweeping collection of songs where
classical and rock influences collide but never clash, no words can exaggerate the brilliance of The Resistance . Having outlived many of their peers, Muse have not only sustained the immense quality of their previous work but have once again excelled themselves, creating a genuine modern masterpiece in the process.

For the love of god, so many releases for one album.

Here's a thought, maybe edit the articles already posted for this release with the proper, you know, kinda like all the other release types here? I mean, seriously, you';ve got to scroll through endless mp3 releases then MUSIC PICS which are the same damn releases.

IMO you should edit for propers, then bump that edited article back to the mainpage

Dude this is the fourth post for this album on this 'log' and this time even without even giving a reason for a 'real proper' release. Is it worth downloading or can I just stay with the previous release or should I wait for a retail???

About the waste of time and bandwidth of 320 kbps CD rips.

A CD uses uncompressed digital audio, a frequency of 44100 Hz or 44.1 kHz sample rate. The bit rate is 1411.2 kbit/s.
MP3 or correctly referred to as MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, is a digital audio encoding format using a form of (high) lossy data compression. It was designed for use in Video Compact Discs, a precursor to SVCD then DVD, so much of the data that would be required on a CD, on a hi-fi system, is removed as the intended use is a television whose poor stereo speakers would be no further than 1 meter apart. Remember the visual attention focus of the screen, so the sound becomes less obvious.
MP3 is an improvement to VHS hi-fi audio and therefore is adequate, but not exceptional. It can not hope to match the quality of a CD on a hi-fi system with good quality speakers several meters apart.
Direct comparison of bit rates between different formats is meaningless, as in the case of CD rips the original bit rate is uncompressed, but the MP3 is cut and compressed with further loss of quality. The closest equivalent bit rate for a CD rip MP3 is 192 kbits/s, anything greater is a waste of time and bandwith as there can not be any improvement in quality. Further, most MP3 players will not cope with 320 kbits/s. If you want to retain the full quality of a CD source then FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is probably the way to go.

Well..I guess I must be the one person here who DIDN'T get a copy of this! Just tried and ALL links are now dead or removed, which seems pretty fast..even by todays standards!

I never thought I would be posting this, but I sure hope somebody posts a link one more time..mind you, I doubt anyone will be able to get it hosted on any of the main hosters judging by the way it has been taken down so fast across the board!
