Although I can’t say I’m a fan, I know that Mudvayne, and metal in general, has a big fanbase here, so enjoy this newest release. Its due in stores next Tuesday, but thanks to one-time group MUDVAYNE, is here now.
Grammy nominated Mudvayne release in 2008 their first studio album in three years. All copies of the album contain an exclusive code for fans to register and play The New Game to solve a murder mystery as it unfolds with weekly clues. Grand prizes will be awarded to the winning finalists. Fans must own the CD in order to play and win prizes. Fans with the code can redeem for the free fan club membership which allows them the only way to get tickets to see Mudvayne live!

they’re nu-metal. and they suck anyway. you know its gonna be a bad album when they need a dinner theater-style prize giveaway to sell it.

You like what you like. They have amazing lyrics and one of the best bassists, groovy funky metal.
I’d imagine he’s more than old-enough. Rap/nu-metal seems to be mostly popular with 12yr old boys (and has been ever since it got big in the late 90’s/early 00’s).
Most proper metal fans are fat beardy, hairy 30-50yr olds (with personal hygiene/BO problems – but that extends to all metal fans ;p ).
He doesn’t know of any decent bands in the nu-metal genre because there simply aren’t any. ;p
they have lost much of their power, they were really great in the early years (2000-2003) nowdays they are still one of the few good bands but they simply lost their edge :/

Mudvayne are metal. It doesn’t matter what genre of metal they are, they are still metal.

Yep, it’s true – nu metal is not metal.
Heavy, hard rock mixed with rap/funk or just rap with repetative riffs used for background… thats all it is. And it often sucks, well… imho.

I couldn’t agree more it seems all bands nowadays are softening up even slipknot which I would never imagine.
