This year marks the 25th annual VMAs, and we’re doing it right, with A-list musicians, reality stars, record-breakers, trouble-makers, models and other beautiful people taking over Paramount Studios in Hollywood. It’s definitely gonna be a night to remember. Or is that a night that will be hard to forget? Anyway, we imported comedian/actor/babe magnet. Russell Brand all the way from London for the occasion. Did you see Forgetting Sarah Marshall ? The English guy? That’s him. All our Brit friends say he’s bloody insane, so, of course, we gave him the VMA gig.

this was by far the most insulting thing aired on tv ever that i can think of. it was so bad that words can’t even describe it. do not watch this unless you want a serious wake up call to the horrible culture america embraces now. here is a stand out point for me personally. demi moore presents best male video award talking about david bowie winning the first award in that catagory in 1983. she then goes on to say that the winner of that catagory tonight will be at the same level as david bowie. and these were the nominees…..FLO RIDA, LIL WAYNE, T.I., USHER, and CHRIS BROWN. No bands. No talent. just a bunch of irresponsible black people spreading their terrible thug culture, incoherent babble, and pants that don’t fit.

Actually, to me, Russell Brand was the most entertaining thing of the entire show. The performances were crap, nominees no one gives a crap about and poorly rehearsed lines.
Oh, Michael Phelps was cool too. But that’s about it.

I have never found Russell Brand that funny, but its caused a big fuss in the media over his George Bush comments. Isn’t that what comedians have been doing since the birth of civilisation, they touch taboo subjects and people get offended, they should have sent Britains funniest man Frankie Boyle over there, then they really would have been offended.

I see a bunch of idiots got here first (some company excluded, of course). Firstly, I’m in America (but a Brit’), a news wh0re, and haven’t heard any discussion over here (yet) about his comments. I had to go research them, and… found them funny. Of course, perfectly true as well. He’s right that Bush is an idiot, and therefore I’m glad he said what he said.
In fact, I came here hoping to downloading just his opening monologue because a) he’s funny, and b) what he said is true. If Americans find it insulting, try adding further censorships to your lives and not getting any opinions of the country outside America. Of course the other option is to elect a decent President (think Black) who won’t trash the world economy… that would be nice. Thanks.
