gj microsoft… I like the zune 80 but place stupid things like this no one will want it.

@38… a lot of us commute and the 3″ screens are more then enough for a lot of tvshows.

iPod Touches look nice but I will not get one until they sort out the audio problem (similar to that found in G3 iPod’s) and they make one with a hard drive bigger than 80GB which supports MPEG4 AVC or DivX.

A PSP still has the best screen for a handheld device and is perfect for catching up on an episode of Heroes or BSG when you’re travelling to work. This may also be getting DivX/XviD support (like the PS3) in firmware v4.00. Sony want it to happen but DivX Inc. are messing about (insider info from SCEE).

I would use a laptop if i had one with decent battery life. My brothers laptop only runs for 20mins on a full charge and my ipod classic will run for 4 hours if not more for video so i think even though i can’t surf the web ect i think i like using my ipod when watching something when i go away of holidays.

Movies and epsisodes of Whatever on a hand-held device? Somebody tell me what’s the point. If I’m at home, I will watch the content on my large TV or computer screen. If I’m on the road, I can use my laptop to watch. Somebody please tell in less time than required for a snail to circumnavigate the globe while on a treadmill under what circumstances any sane person on this planet would require a hand-held sized device to bow their heads and stare at for thirty minutes of a show or a two-hour movie.

Well, airplane for one. 2nd possible use when I want to watch something in the hotel.

But that covers it all. My FS PDA is quite sufficient with the 3.6″ screen.

And since both services are geographicaly locked(IP filtering) so that non US residents cannot shop), screw them both. I’d pay that $2, but since it is much more hassle to try to find workable anonymous proxy to circumwent their stupid schemes, RS and BT it is.

Did I miss something? Does the zune have audio video cables for it that you can plug in? How many people are interested in watching their files on a two inch screen? How much use is that other then taking your porn with you to the bathroom?

One idiot blogger talks to one idiot stuffed suit not even with MS, and everyone thinks it’s the straight dope? Did it never occur to you that the blogger, the stuffed suit, or both were probably talking out their arse — that being the orifice both bloggers and stuffed suits talk out of most often.

No wonder Apple press releases get posted as “news” here so often, clearly there’s a wholly broken, not to mention biased, sense of credulity at work.
