Mr Brooks 720p BluRay x264-HALCYON

Well to add on top of the pile of todays great HD releases, here comes the very popular thriller Mr. Brooks. Kevin Costner, Demi Moore, and Dane Cook star in this one so this has to be at least good, if not great. Awesome quality as expected from a 720p rip and don’t spam the comments asking about the res or whether you can burn this on a DVD and watch on your TV, leave that for the forums.

Earl Brooks (Costner) has it all: a loving wife (Marg Helgenberger) and devoted daughter (Danielle Panabaker), community standing, and his own thriving business. Mr. Brooks, however, lives another life, unknown to anyone else. He is also the notorious serial murderer branded as The Thumbprint Killer. Though recently inactive, his pathological compulsion is inflamed once again by his cunning, wicked alter ego (Academy Award® winner William Hurt), whom Mr. Brooks faults for his transgressions. But succumbing to one more malevolent urge to murder an unsuspecting couple, Mr. Brooks commits his first mistake–he is observed by a peeping Tom photographer (Dane Cook), who chooses to blackmail him with a bizarre demand. This last crime, though, also unleashes a tenacious detective (Demi Moore) whose own personal crisis drives her furiously to solve the identity of the Thumbprint Killer, putting her on Mr. Brooks’ trail.

Same here, I hope they keep releasing regular DVDrips, the size of these HD rips, is what I don’t care for, who needs it, download the 700-1400 MB rip, watch it and move on, who needs to download 4+ GB?

@13, That’s an old broadcast HDTV rip. Meaning that it was captured from a broadcast. A BluRay rip will be much better quality-wise.

This is a very good thriller. Caught me by surprise. Costner was excellent in this.

I liked Mr. Brooks a lot. This one would definitely be a good one to watch in High Definition. It is getting harder and harder to watch movies in standard definition and it is still hard to find the high definition versions of a lot of movies. Thanks for the post, I highly recommend this movie.
