Here is an French movie released by “We Rip Digital” staring Daniel Auteuil and Olivia Bonamy. This includes English subtitles for the people who can’t understand French. It’s about a jaded cop gets one last chance to redeem himself by protecting a young woman from her parents’ murderer, who is about to be released from jail.

“MR 73″ is the third in a trilogy of police thrillers that Olivier Marchal began in 2002 with “Gangsters” and followed up two years later with “Department 36.” It also is far and away the darkest of the three movies. While its resolutely dour tone and downbeat ending might deter younger spectators, the convincing portrayal of a cop at the end of his tether should pay off handsomely with mature audiences in many territories.

A washed-up Marseilles cop (Auteuil) earns a chance at redemption by protecting a woman from the man who killed her parents as he is about to be released from prison.

    thanks didnt know there was a 2nd movie let alone this 3rd one. 1st movie 36 was like a french version of heat but less boring nfor me.

    Can anyone please advise me how to make a disc out of the movie plus subtitles?

    I have a Mac which is complicating things I suspect.

    By the way it’s for my Mum,she is such a big fan of 36,and this will be such a suprise to her!!

    Just for the sake of being precise, when they say it’s a trilogy, it’s not the same characters or anything, it’s a trilogy in the sense that all three movies depict policemen in dark thrillers, where depression and loneliness are omnipresent. The director, Olivier Marchal, sees them as a trilogy, but the movies (plot and characters) are totally unrelated.
    For those interested, the first movie was Gangsters (torrent not found), and the second was 36, quai des orfèvres (aka Department 36) (torrent: http://www.mininova.org/com/223109 don’t know about the quality). Incidentally, if you like these movies, you can check out Ne le dis à personne (aka Tell No One) (hard subbed torrent: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4207064/TELL_NO_ONE_Ne_le_dis____personne_2006.avi).

    Oh great French movie in original language. I guess Americans used to Cops and The Shield cannot fall in love with this french style :-) I like both worlds.

    He is an ex cop working at first for french Tv as a writer and now directing movies, and i think very good ones!
