why would anyone use this?
I’m serious, when do you need this kind of software? A primer? use case?
Could of used this last month. I put together a 15 minute DVD slideshow (kids soccer games) using still pictures along with several song pieces for the soundtrack. Didn’t really have an adequate tool to split and merge the audio files into a seamless smooth transition from one song to the next.
There’s your use case!

I actually downloaded the trial version a couple of weeks ago. Its a very easy and quick program to use when you need to split or join mp3 files. Just yesterday I looked for the full version with no luck since my trial time is up and I find it here today! Thanks for posting it.
Does it take a .cue and .mp3 file format and then split them in pieces with the proper titles and artist ?
I’ve used it to join audio books into one single mp3 and also to split single concert files into tracks
Audacity is open source, free, and does a way better job than this
Maybe it’s better for batch joining or something.

I downloaded from rapidshare and it gave me the right keygen and patch but not the right setup program (gave me 3.27 non pro version setup file..). I just downloaded the trial from the website and it worked.

i actually got an older version of this a little while ago because i started coming across lots of albums as single mp3s with .cue files, and this let me separate all the tracks into different files.
what I want to know is, why the hell would someone encode an entire album into a single mp3 anyways? It seems to be counterintuitive to the compression used by the mp3 format.

If u are older, or produce music and need music of vinyls, tapes. then u will need to split the huge chunk of mp3, wav or what ever you saved it as

I have an unsplitted mp3 album… will it cut the album for me at correct spots (i.e. by ready the accompaniying zone file)?

It is VERY useful for pirates and releasers such as myself.
This program is handy because it lets you edit highly compressed mp3 audio streams WITHOUT TRANSCODING THEM.
For example a release may come out with off-synch audio or non-english audio. In the first case MP3 splitter can be easily used to edit and fix the mp3 stream to be insynch with the video withOUT loosing quality/making the video larger than a CD/DVD. In the case of foreign languages I have found extremely high quality spanish rips and then downloaded lower quality english rips, MP3 splitter came in handy to edit the english MP3 to be in synch with the video without transcoding it.
This is THE ONLY program I have found that can do this ACCURATELY with VBR Mp3. Unfortunately the torrent I downloaded had a non-working crack. Hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one.

There may be better programs out there for this i dont really know. However i use mp3 splitting software all the time. I donload alot of audio books and many times its one huge mp3 file like 1100mb and it wont fit on a standard cd, so u just split it into as namy parts as u need and then burn.
