SKIDROW has released this new RPG title – “Mount and Blade: Warband”.

Description: Mount & Blade: Warband is the eagerly anticipated sequel for the game that brought medieval battlefields to life with its realistic mounted combat and detailed fighting system. In a land torn asunder by incessant warfare, it is time to assemble your own band of hardened warriors and enter the fray. Lead your men into battle, expand your realm, and claim the ultimate prize: the throne of Calradia!

Features:

  • Graphical overhaul: Support added for HDR, FSAA, depth of field, soft particles, tone mapping, and many other effects.
  • Multiplayer battles with up to 64 players. Multiplayer modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Conquest, Battle, and Siege.
  • New models with greater detail and high-quality textures.

    Oh, man, that was quick. People, if you try and like the game, please do buy it!

    It’s only 25 EUR or 30 USD or so. The devs are like one tiny step up from being indie and deserve your support.

    This game is great. Does that count as a review for people who haven’t played it yet?

    Ah, must’ve been some glitch.

    (anyway, I’d be wary of Skidrow releases if I were you. Their Mount and Blade release was almost twice the size of the game – it was so packed with nasty stuff.)

    Lordian, have you played the original game and think this expansion is inferior or is this your first time in Mount&Blade?

    Because the first game was one hell of a gem, immense fun in massive battles; so if this is more of the same with improved graphics, I’m getting it.

    - this game is great, no matter what game i’m currently playing, new release or not, i always end up coming back to this one.

    – the devs of this game, are a husband and wife, so yeh, very small production team.

    – i did buy this game, a while ago now.. so i’ll have to check out their site for any updates

    – i dont want to say “go buy it” .. that is for you to decide. but it is definately a game to check out. RPG with FPS aspects to it. the battles are great. only hint or tip, avoid cheating with this game, the long hard slug to upgrade your character is so much more enjoyable.
